You'll coordinate Revit and CAD work on the team and carry projects from design development through construction, making day-to-day decisions and bringing select questions to the architect or supervisor.\nDesign & Documentation\nPrepare presentation drawings and similar materials, including design and drawing of layouts for proposed architectural plan options\nPrepare Revit-based construction documents and specifications, including tables and schedules, and update drawings and designs\nMake drawing changes as directed by the architect: redline corrections and updates to project specifications and notes during design development\nSupport revisions, supplemental design information, and drawing development on active projects\nMake the final sketch of proposed drawings, checking dimensions, materials, how the parts relate to one another, and how they relate to the overall structure\nReview building and municipal code for projects\nReview product submissions, shop drawings, work scopes, and estimates; consult with drafters, architects, engineers, and clients to check designs and verify that specifications and design data are correct\nProject Coordination\nCoordinate with project team members, clients, vendors, and professionals\nManage project communications and action lists\nManage specific pieces of larger projects, such as FF&E and other contracts\nReview and track submittals, RFIs, responses, and approvals\nCoordinate, participate in, and/or lead project meetings\nAssist with local, state, and federal permitting to ensure all permits are secured\nField Work\nPerform on-site inspections for quality of work and materials, conformity with plans and specifications, code compliance, site safety, and construction progress\nField verify, photograph, measure, and document existing conditions\nMaintain observation logs covering work progress, methods, contractors on site, weather, and photos\nSupport weekly project updates with progress photos\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Drafting, or Design, or equivalent experience\n10+ years of experience in architectural design and preparation of construction documents\nProficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, Microsoft Office, and MS Project\nSolid understanding of drafting techniques, construction terminology, building code, and building construction and associated systems\nGood design, technical, and organizational skills\nStrong leadership, client service, and communication skills\nAbility to handle multiple projects, work independently with sound judgment, and collaborate with a team\nMechanical aptitude and ability to complete basic math calculations\nAbility to perform field verification work\nValid New York State driver's license and own transportation\nMilitary experience welcome\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nMix of office and job site work, including walking uneven terrain and occasionally climbing or crawling through constructed spaces alongside inspectors\nOccasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of 25-50 lbs\nOccasional exposure to inclement weather for more than an hour at a time\nExtended computer work;
