Our team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Structural Project Manager to help lead the design and delivery of complex bridge and structural projects.\nThis is an opportunity for a seasoned structural engineer to bring their technical expertise, leadership, and client-focused approach to a collaborative team working on projects that have a lasting impact on the communities we serve.\nIf you’re ready to take on meaningful projects, work alongside talented professionals, and have an increasing level of influence in both project delivery and client relationships, we’d love to hear from you.\nLocation\nThis position offers a hybrid work schedule and can be based out of either our Franklin or Nashville, Tennessee office.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Structural Project Manager, you’ll help lead the design and delivery of bridge and structural projects while working closely with clients and a talented team of engineers and designers.\nLead structural design projects from concept through final delivery, including bridge and retaining wall structures.\nPrepare and review structural and geometric calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and complete design packages.\nLead and mentor structural designers and engineers, providing technical direction and supporting their professional development.\nCoordinate project plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items in accordance with TDOT standards and requirements.\nWork directly with clients to develop scopes of work, fee proposals, and project strategies.\nManage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and quality while ensuring work meets client and regulatory requirements.\nTake ownership of assigned design calculations and plans and ensure appropriate independent quality control reviews are completed.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex design challenges and deliver practical, high-quality solutions.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe’re looking for an experienced structural engineer who is ready to lead projects, develop people, and build strong client relationships.\nYou’ll bring:\n10+ years of bridge design experience, with 12+ years preferred.\nA B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.\nPE License in Tennessee, or the ability to obtain Tennessee licensure through reciprocity.\nExperience working with TDOT and/or local municipalities.\nStrong technical expertise in bridge design, structural analysis, and the development of complete design packages.\nExperience preparing and reviewing structural calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and other project deliverables.\nStrong communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.\nExperience developing scopes of work, fee proposals, and contracts.\nProficiency with Bentley CAD and structural design software.\nStrong organizational and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.\nA desire to take on increasing responsibility and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Tennessee team.\nWhy Benesch?\nIt’s simple.
