As a Roadway and Highway Design intern during the summer of 2026, you will contribute to engineering projects that involve highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering design software, construction documentation, and collaborative project delivery. \nLocation \nThis internship will be based in our Pottsville, PA office with opportunities for mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to project sites. \nWhat We Are Looking For \nPursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field \nStrong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering \nFamiliarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D (Geopak or 3D Modeling experience a plus, but not required) \nStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills \nAbility to work collaboratively within a team environment \nOrganizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently \nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from project sites \nWhy Benesch?\nIt’s simple.
