The ideal candidate will have the expertise or an interest in furthering their career focused on planning, engineering design, and the construction of transportation infrastructure for public agencies. The successful candidate will prepare, and review plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates related to a variety of transportation projects. Project Engineers also mentor and supervise the work of technical support personnel assigned to the project.\nLocation\nThis position offers flexibility within Utah. Benesch is expanding into Utah, and whether you are on the Wasatch Front or in Southern Utah, we encourage you to apply and join us in this exciting expansion.\nThe Impact You Will Have\nDeveloping detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design\nCollaborating with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs to develop applications\nCompiling and coordinating plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items\nSupporting studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions to meet compliance and client goals\nWorking with various disciplines and reviewers to ensure complete, accurate, and high-quality deliverables\nContribute to proposal development\nManaging small projects, project tasks, and assisting Project Managers in overall large project delivery\nManage and maintain project documentation\nWhat You Will Need\nBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or higher, is required\nAbility to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects\nAbility to communicate effectively\nAbility to develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner\nExperience working with UDOT and/or municipalities\nProficient with Microstation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and complex modeling design\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nUtah Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (Preferred) \nProject experience in transportation engineering design (Preferred) \nDigital delivery and alternate delivery experience preferred\nWhy Benesch?\nIt’s simple.
