Responsibilities will include the design and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for transportation projects, including hydrology and hydraulic analysis related to culvert sizing, open channel design, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, storm sewer infrastructure design, and floodplain analysis. In this role, you will contribute to a collaborative team environment. The desired candidate will supplement the design efforts of the civil-rail and structural-rail design group.\nThe Impact You Will Have\n Perform hydraulic and hydrology (H&H) analyses and design for transportation projects\n Prepare drainage reports in conformance with client and industry standards\n Assist with plan production related to drainage design, stormwater management, detention facilities, water quality/MS4, quantities, and specifications\n Contribute to project goals and milestones, and monitor project progress\n Assist in the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, studies, reports, construction drawings/plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of stormwater design and planning projects\n Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents\n Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking\n Assist with project pursuits\nWhat You Will Need\n Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required\n 12-16 years of transportation drainage experience\nPE License preferred\nA history of progressive responsibility in transportation/roadway drainage design, including:Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with an emphasis on the rational method and TR-55 design methodologies\nExperience with plan production software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads\nExperience with programs such as: HY-8, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, StormCAD, CivilStorm, Watershed Modeling System (WMS), Surface Modeling System (SMS)/SRH-2D, FHWA Hydraulic Toolbox, CUHP, FLO-2D, Mile High Flood District spreadsheet tools\n\nExcellent communication skills, verbal and written\nA track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment\nAbility to prioritize, work on, and advance multiple projects simultaneously\nThorough understanding of state, regional, and special district design standards\nExperience developing stormwater management plans and water quality design/MS4\nExperience with plan production related to transportation projects\nExperience developing deliverables per DOT or DOT standards and requirements\nA desire to learn and strengthen skills #LI-AG1\nThe expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
