Operating in a fast-paced environment with strict external deadlines, this role is required to quarterback the entire bid lifecycle-orchestrating cross-functional teams across Sales, Legal, Product, and Finance.\nWithout the Bid Manager's rigorous project management, stakeholder alignment, and risk mitigation, our pursuits risk losing momentum, falling out of compliance, or missing critical submission deadlines.\nBy bringing discipline, structure, and strategic focus to every pursuit, the Bid Manager directly protects Bentley’s revenue pipeline and elevates our market position on the global stage.\nA bid manager will deliver value to the business by:\nOrchestrating Complex Teams: Serves as the primary point of contact, aligning diverse internal stakeholders (from software engineers to legal teams) behind a unified, winning strategy.\nSecure Compliance and Quality: Acts as the final gatekeeper, ensuring every bid is meticulously aligned with user requirements, Bentley’s commercial policies, and strict compliance standards.\nAccelerating Bid Velocity: Drives the proposal schedule with absolute discipline, preventing last-minute scrambles and ensuring high-quality submissions are delivered ahead of time.\nResponsibilities:\nBid Delivery (Mandatory)\nManage binding and non-binding opportunities.\nDevelop bid plans and schedules.\nCoordinate contributors and reviews.\nEnsure compliance and quality standards.\nManage proactive proposals.\nStakeholder Engagement (Mandatory)\nMaintain regular engagement with sales teams.\nAttend regional pipeline meetings where applicable.\nProvide opportunity status reporting.\nSupport pursuit strategy execution.\nProcess Excellence (Mandatory)\nApply bid management best practice.\nDrive consistency and quality.\nCapture lessons learned.\nContribute to continuous improvement activities.\nArtificial Intelligence (Optional)\nWorkflow Automation: Hands-on experience using AI software to automate first drafts and accelerate the overall bid lifecycle.\nAdvanced Prompting: Strong prompt engineering skills to tailor complex technical responses to specific customer requirements.\nTender Analysis: Ability to leverage AI summarization tools to rapidly parse dense RFPs and identify key compliance risks.\nContent Maintenance: Experience actively updating centralized AI content libraries to ensure high match rates for automated Q&A.\nQuality Control: Proficient in critically reviewing and refining AI-generated text to inject human nuance and specific win themes.\nRegional Projects (Optional)\nSupport regional growth initiatives.\nContribute to reporting and analytics.\nSupport sales enablement activities.\nSuccess Measures (Mandatory)\nOn-time submission rate\nBid quality scores\nStakeholder feedback\nOpportunity conversion\nProcess compliance\nQualifications:\nLanguages: Fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages a bonus.\nEducation: Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field and/or demonstrable commercial experience within a solutions/IT provider.\nExperience: 3+ years of experience in bid, proposal, or tender management.
