This role includes prospecting, presenting solutions tailored to customer needs, managing orders, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nBuild and maintain a network of sources and leads to generate new sales opportunities.\nIdentify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services.\nDemonstrate product functionality and value to prospective and existing customers.\nMaintain relationships with current clients and provide ongoing product and service support.\nCommunicate pricing, terms of sale, delivery schedules, and service details clearly and professionally.\nMonitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues post-sale.\nPrepare detailed sales activity reports, including calls, orders, and lost business.\nForecast territory sales and contribute to budgeting and margin goals.\nEstimate material requirements using customer blueprints and technical documents.\nCoordinate schedules with contractors and oversee timely material deliveries.\nResearch and source special products as required.\nAssist with accounts receivable and collections when necessary.\nStay informed on industry trends, competitive pricing, and market developments.\nAdhere to all company policies, including attendance and safety procedures.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSKILLS & ABILITIES\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.\nStrong sales, negotiation, and closing abilities.\nStrategic thinking and ability to plan and prioritize effectively.\nHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general CRM/sales software.\nAbility to read and estimate from blueprints.\nAble to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.\nMinimum 3-5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in building materials or a related industry.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to walk job sites, yards, and office locations\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer\nAbility to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally\nMust be able to travel regularly to meet with clients and attend job sites\nBENEFITS\nAvailable to all Full-Time employees.\nPaid Time Off (Vacation Pay)\nPaid Sick Leave (Sick Pay)\n6 Paid Holiday Days\n401(K) with employer contribution\nMedical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance\nSALARY\n$50,000 - $70,000 annually + plus commission, DOE\nBerco Redwood/Berry Lumber, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
