This role ensures that the sales team achieves revenue targets, maintains excellent customer relationships, and delivers exceptional service to contractors, homeowners, and vendors.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead, mentor, and develop the sales team, fostering a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative culture.\nOversee day-to-day sales activities and team results, ensuring sales targets, quotas, and KPIs are consistently met.\nCollaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to develop strategies for generating new business and maintaining client relationships.\nSupport Sales Support Associates in managing order processing, estimates, scheduling, and vendor communications to ensure seamless customer service.\nReview sales activity reports, forecasts, and operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.\nSet territory assignments, sales quotas, and performance expectations for the sales team.\nConduct regular coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations, providing timely feedback and recognition.\nPartner with purchasing, dispatch, and yard operations to ensure timely delivery, order accuracy, and resolution of customer issues.\nMonitor and maintain customer satisfaction, resolving escalated complaints and operational issues.\nDevelop and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals, including prospecting, presentations, and promotional efforts.\nRecruit, onboard, and train new sales team members to maintain a skilled, knowledgeable workforce.\nParticipate in key customer meetings, site visits, and trade events as a company representative.\nCollaborate with executive leadership on sales forecasting, budget planning, and margin improvement initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support the success of the sales department.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nDirectly supervise Inside/Outside Sales Representatives and Sales Support Associates.\nResponsible for hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions within the sales team.\nSKILLS & ABILITIES\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nProven ability to motivate and develop a sales team.\nExcellent strategic thinking and organizational skills.\nHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/sales software (e.g., Salesforce).\nAbility to analyze data, forecast sales, and identify market opportunities.\nStrong customer service and negotiation skills.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.\nMinimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in building materials or a related industry.\nMinimum 3 years of sales management experience leading a team of sales professionals.\nPHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS\nAbility to travel regularly to customer sites, job locations, and other company facilities.\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.\nBENEFITS\nAvailable to all Full-Time employees.\nPaid Time Off (Vacation Pay)\nPaid Sick Leave (Sick Pay)\n6 Paid Holiday Days\n401(K) with employer contribution\nMedical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance\nSALARY\n$120,000 - $155,000 Base Salary + Commission, DOE\nBerco Building Materials is an equal-opportunity employer.
