This role assists with project documentation, submittals, RFIs, scheduling, procurement, cost tracking, and coordination between field personnel, vendors, and clients. The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting successful project execution by ensuring accurate communication, timely documentation, and adherence to project specifications and company standards.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nProject Administration & Documentation\nAssist Project Managers with the administration and execution of mechanical construction projects.\nPrepare, track, and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and specifications.\nProcess and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.\nMaintain accurate project files and records throughout the project lifecycle.\nSupport project closeout activities, including punch lists and turnover documentation.\nScheduling & Coordination\nAssist in developing and maintaining project schedules and look-ahead plans.\nCoordinate with field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely project execution.\nMonitor project progress and communicate updates to project teams.\nParticipate in project meetings and document meeting minutes and action items.\nSupport procurement activities and material tracking to maintain project schedules.\nFinancial & Cost Support\nAssist with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.\nReview invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor documentation.\nTrack labor productivity and project expenditures.\nSupport change order pricing and documentation.\nHelp identify and communicate potential cost or schedule impacts.\nTechnical Support\nReview project drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.\nAssist with interpreting plans, specifications, and contract requirements.\nCoordinate with engineers, consultants, and field teams to resolve technical issues.\nSupport quality control efforts to ensure work meets project requirements and industry standards.\nAssist in ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.\nPrior experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, or piping projects preferred.\nInternship or entry-level construction experience is beneficial.\nFamiliarity with construction documentation and project processes is preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferred.\nValid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.\nKnowledge, Skills & collaboratively with project teams and clients.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nCombination of office and field work on active construction sites.\nFrequent interaction with project teams, clients, and vendors.\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.\nOccasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.\nMay require visits to active construction sites, rooftops, and mechanical
