They must be in compliance with state and local wiring codes. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.\nResponsibilities\nInstall communications and computer equipment. \nUsing a variety of hand and power tools.\nProductively and safely install wire and electrical cable which they measure, cut, bend and thread through metal tubing called conduits.\nAssist in splicing wires at juncture points and feed/pull wiring into control centers and distribution boxes, transformers and transducers, switch gear and electrical outlets, and other permanent equipment.\nCleanup activity.\nGathering and transporting materials and tools to electricians on the construction project.\nEnsure compliance with all policies and procedures included in the Bergelectric Corp. Employee Handbook.\nQualifications\nUnderstanding of the basic laws of electricity and electrical systems.\nAbility to understand technical instructions. \nAbility to follow instructions and assist electricians.\nAbility to see details and compare details in objects.\nKnowledge of tools and equipment.\nBasic mechanical skills.\nPhysical Demands\nLift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force. \nPerform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling. \nFully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt. \nMaintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.\nWork off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.\nWorking Environment\nA variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.\nHigh noise levels.\nThe information contained in the job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is not an exhaustive list of duties performed by this position.
