You will be responsible for managing the VAS associates team, coordinating value-added service activities, and ensuring the efficient execution of customized solutions for our clients.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nSupervise, train, and mentor a team of VAS associates to deliver high-quality value-added services in accordance with client requirements and company standards.\nAssign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure a motivated and productive team.\nImplement and enforce quality control measures to ensure VAS activities meet client specifications and adhere to established quality standards.\nConduct regular inspections of completed value-added services to verify accuracy and conformity.\nPlan and organize value-added service tasks to meet client deadlines while optimizing productivity and resource utilization.\nMonitor workloads and allocate resources effectively to ensure smooth execution of VAS operations.\nMaintain accurate records of VAS activities, including work orders, production logs, and performance metrics.\nGenerate and present regular reports on VAS efficiency, accuracy, and performance to management and clients.\nServe as a primary point of contact for clients regarding VAS activities, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and resolving any issues.\nProactively communicate with clients to understand their evolving needs and suggest improvements or enhancements.\nFoster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.\nConduct monthly EFR (Efficiency Feedback Reviews) with staff providing feedback and coaching on areas of improvement.\nRequirements\nPrevious experience in a similar role, preferably in a 3PL environment or logistics industry\nStrong knowledge of VAS management processes, industry best practices, and relevant regulations\nProficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and Microsoft Office Suite\nAbility to communicate including reading, writing and speaking; some fluency in English is required.\nExcellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team\nEffective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement\nAbility to perform basic math functions. \nAbility to work overtime as business needs dictates.\nAligned with Bergen’s How We Work Together Principles including: investing in People Development, creating a Safe Environment, treating others with Respect, being able to work as part of a Team, having Trust in others, having Passion for our work and clients, having good Communication skills and having high Accountability for oneself and others.\nPhysical Requirements\nWork regularly to lift and/or move objects 10-30 lbs;
