You will evaluate new opportunities, develop manufacturing solutions, maintain engineering data, and ensure engineering documentation remains accurate throughout the product lifecycle. This role is critical to supporting growth, improving manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 quality standards\nKey Responsibilities\nEvaluate customer inquiries for technical feasibility, manufacturability, and production requirements.\nPrepare feasibility reports, preliminary bills of material (BOMs), and routing estimates to support quoting and new business opportunities.\nCoordinate prototype and sample builds to support new product development and sales initiatives.\nWork with suppliers to obtain quotations for components, materials, and outside processing services.\nCreate, maintain, and revise Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing routings within the ERP system.\nAnalyze manufacturing processes and production performance, recommending routing and process improvements to increase efficiency and scheduling accuracy.\nConduct time studies and establish labor standards to support capacity planning and operational performance.\nSupport Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), product revisions, tooling requirements, and manufacturing documentation updates.\nCreate, revise, and maintain engineering drawings, tooling designs, fixtures, and manufacturing aids using AutoCAD and related engineering tools.\nEnsure engineering documentation, revision control, and records management comply with AS9100 requirements and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) standards\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline.\nMinimum 2 years of mechanical engineering experience.\nMinimum 2 years of AutoCAD experience.\nExperience working with ERP systems, Bills of Material, and manufacturing routings.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively across multiple departments and priorities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100-certified manufacturing environment.\nAerospace, defense, or other high-mix manufacturing experience.\nExperience supporting process improvement and manufacturing optimization initiatives.\nWhy Employees Thrive at Bergen\nSuccessful employees at Bergen typically demonstrate:\nCustomer focus\nAccountability and integrity\nCommitment to quality and precision\nStrong teamwork and communication skills\nAdaptability and continuous learning\nInitiative and a problem-solving mindset\nCompensation & Benefits\nPay Range: $90,000 - $110,000\nBenefits Include\nComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance plans\n401(k) with 100% Company Match up to 4% - no vesting schedule\nPaid Time Off\n9 Paid Holidays\nCompany-Paid Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability \nProfessional Development Opportunities\nPosition Details\nFairfield, New Jersey;
