We are a company that strives for a healthy life-work balance and a dog-friendly environment.\nPosition Description:\nReporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Commercial Solar Retrofit Project Developer will be responsible for developing a new commercial solar business pipeline, generating new viable business and managing customer relationships from inception, closing and after sales, in an effort to meet and exceed sales goals. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build rapport with colleagues, team members and management and become a trusted advisor to customers and will possess keen insight into the northern California commercial solar market and customers’ needs and interests relating to solar energy.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform assessments of qualified potential customers’ business and solar energy needs, including basic site characteristics, challenges and opportunities\nImplement customer’s objectives, energy usage, utility rate schedules, incentives and financing options to develop the most cost-effective solar energy solutions\nManage customer relationships from inception, to close and after sale\nUtilize various methods/ techniques such as referrals, cold-calling, industry-related networking events, social media marketing, etc., to build and manage a retrofit commercial solar business sales pipeline; maintain customer relationship beyond close of sale\nEnter complete and accurate details regarding daily business-building activities into internal software\nEngage in daily initiatives of learning internal processes and procedures\nOther related responsibilities, as required\nQualifications:\nAt least 5 years experience generating, closing and meeting a sales target of $3-$4 million in the Northern California Commercial Solar and BESS market\nKnowledge of the Northern California commercial solar market\nAbility to evaluate, scope and specify PV systems from 20kW to a 1MW\nExperience with forecasting tools such as Energy Toolbase and Helioscope\nAbility to explain solar financing options to customers and understand which options best fit the customer’s objectives/ circumstances (e.g. PPA, loans, Tax Credits, MACRS, etc.)\nAvailable to work necessary hours to meet and exceed sales goals, which includes evenings and weekends\nReliable car for transportation, a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record\nAbility to travel around the Bay Area and occasionally to other geographies in California\nExperience in SalesForce\nProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite of software applications\nBenefits:\nSun Light & Power offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to:\nHealth - Sun Light & Power offers different medical plans through CaliforniaChoice and Kaiser.
