We provide a comprehensive portfolio of commercial property casualty insurance, automobile liability and workers’ compensation, along with claim services, providing expertise to meet the unique business needs of our customers.\nResponsibilities\nUnderwriting Assistant employees will be responsible to assist and support underwriters with the administration of quoting, rating and issuance of new business, quotes, renewals and endorsements.\nPolicy rating (all states, multi-line).\nObtain necessary information from Underwriters to complete tasks as needed.\nWork within established guidelines for processing quotes and issuing policies in our policy issuance system.\nMisc admin duties such as scanning documents, pulling posting notices and Proof of Coverage (POC) entry.\nResponsible for the administration of policy issuance from quote through issuance.\nEnsure that endorsements and policies are processed accurately and remitted back to the broker timely.\nClear accounts in Underwriting System.\nEnsure electronic files are organized and setup for reviewing.\nSolicit renewal applications from the broker.\nRespond to Bureau Crits as necessary.\nPull from the system or from other sources Loss runs and MVR’s as necessary.\nProcess Audits.\nOther Underwriting Assistant duties as deemed by the Environmental Regional VP.\nQualifications\nAt least 1-2 years commercial insurance experience working in an insurance environment.\nWorking knowledge of insurance and policy issuance systems.\nMulti-line rating experience preferred.\nDemonstrated ability in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel).\nExperience working in a paperless environment.\nEducation\nHigh School Graduate\nAdditional Company Details\nThe Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
