The ideal candidate will have strong experience at all stages of the product development lifecycle from concept to long-term support as part of an integrated team of hardware and software engineers. We’re looking for self-starters who can turn unclear problems into practical solutions, thriving in a team of top talent.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nLead installation/deployments of BG technology on customer sites from installation to System Engineering hand-off\nEnsure compliance to building and safety codes by all federal, state, and/or local regulations\nManage installation contractors and work to resolve deployment issues\nManage BG engineers while on site that are tasked with installation efforts\nManage customer relationship on-site and coordinate site level tasks with local building management\nWork cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to meet installation criteria\nDrive feedback and improvement efforts from site to System Engineering teams\nProvide support to the active project to drive progress and prevent or mitigate stoppages or downtime\nResponsible for tracking and achieving project operational and budgetary metrics\nDevelop standardization processes and technical solutions to drive down installation time and cost\nOversee customer training and handoff tasks to guarantee a smooth integration of BG’s technology in existing operations\nPlease note that this role manages the installation and resources on site at the time, but does not have direct reports.\nExperience and Education:\nRequired:\nBS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or similar technical field\n5+ years of experience in construction or installation management\nPreferred:\n8+ years of experience in construction or installation management\nProject management experience\nRobotics/industrial automation/manufacturing experience\nQualifications and Skills:\nRequired\nDemonstrated experience managing hardware installations and commissioning of industrial equipment\nExperience leading teams of engineers\nExperience managing construction contractors\nKnowledge and understanding of safety standards\nAbility to read and understand CAD drawings, electrical schematics, or other engineering diagrams\nConfidence and knowledge to convey technical explanations of problems or issues identified during deployment\nUnderstanding of warehouse management systems, software messaging flows, IT hardware\nDemonstrated experience with customer management and support\nStrong sense of urgency and leadership\nExcellent communication skills\nStrong computer skills\nAbility to work with senior levels of management internally and externally at site level\nAbility to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously\nPreferred (one or more):\nHigh competence in at least one area: mechanical, electrical, or software systems\nExperience with project management software - MS Project, Smartsheets, etc.\nExperience with engineering defect tracking software - JIRA, etc.\nTravel:\nWill travel be required?
