We utilize some cloud-based infrastructure for communication, data transport, security and other functions, though the majority of the compute occurs on bare metal which is hosted nearby the robotic systems.\nA Senior DevOps Networking Engineer will design, manage and troubleshoot these complex interconnected systems in hybrid environments for customers and employee innovation systems. The ideal candidate would be able to function as a troubleshooter and communicator to a variety of different professional audiences. They manage and improve the communication between the operational and developmental sides of the software development process. Main duties include configuring production and pre-production compute resources, troubleshooting performance or functional issues, planning compute architecture and testing new ideas. The person in this role will be able to move smoothly between networking, compute hardware, infrastructure as code, cloud and kubernetes environments.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nWe are a collaborative engineering culture, your presence must make us better.\nListen to and guide teams in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing environments.\nManage traditional networking equipment, firmware updates, connectivity and design for customers’ robotic systems\nTroubleshoot and identify root cause with use of packet captures and log analysis on a broad range of problems.\nCloud efficiency: ensure availability, economy, performance, security, and scalability of AWS / GCP production systems.\nIdentify manual processes that can be automated.\nMaintain and improve the company’s cloud infrastructure.\nEvaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor products.\nEnvision and design secure and usable systems while gaining shared vision from key stakeholders.\nProviding recommendations for architecture and process improvements.\nRequirements\nAble to assist customers with Networking and system troubleshooting in order to resolve robotic system issues.\nDemonstrated competence with Linux Systems Engineering, Networking and Infrastructure as code.\nTroubleshoot code and improve performance, particularly in Kubernetes and Terraform settings.\nLead global deployments, giving special attention to Kubernetes, Terraform, Juniper networking, and TCP/IP.\nTechnical knowledge in several of the following:Juniper / Cisco / Palo Alto / Zscaler\nTerraform, Kustomize, shell scripting and/or python\nLinux, Kubernetes -- operating system administration\n\nExperience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking.\nBring positive creative energy to the team.\nClear written and verbal communication.\nManage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team\nExperience in creation of highly automated infrastructure\nParticipates in an on-call rotation\nExperience\nNetworking: 3-5 years\nDevOps engineer: 3 years\nAWS or GCP: 1 year\nLinux,
