# Intern (LNG EHS Support)

BHE GT&S has an exciting summer internship opportunity for a rising sophomore, junior or senior for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) student within our Safety and Environmental Compliance department at our Cove Point liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility located in Lusby, MD. The successful candidate will: Provide field EHS support for LNG facilities, that includes supporting various Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) programs (e.g., respiratory protection, hearing conservation, fall protection) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) programs (e.g., spill prevention and control, stormwater management, waste management). Support the completion of EHS self-assessments, new employee orientations, and other face-to-face training at LNG facilities to improve EHS compliance. Support external regulatory or internal inspections. Support trending leading and lagging EHS indicators and offer suggestions for improvement. Walkdown facilities to ensure EHS compliance and work with stakeholders to correct any deficiencies or areas for improvement identified.
