The role is the integration point between the sales, supply chain, and production planning teams. \nKey Accountabilities:\nDemand Planning and S&OP\nOwn and maintain monthly item-level forecasts, including new products, across assigned customers and markets.\nLead regional and local demand reviews with Sales and Account Management, driving alignment on assumptions, risks, opportunities, and the unconstrained demand plan.\nServe as a customer-facing demand planning expert, effectively communicating Berlin’s planning capabilities and building customer confidence in our ability to forecast and manage their business.\nPartner directly with customers, Sales, and Account Management to understand demand drivers, upcoming initiatives, new opportunities, and changes in customer behavior and translate them into actionable forecasts.\nAnalyze historical trends, orders, inventory, market intelligence, and other demand signals to develop and continuously improve forecasts.\nMonitor forecast accuracy and bias, identify significant variances versus forecast, budget, and actual sales, and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.\nPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Planning, Ops, and other stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities and ensure alignment between demand and supply plans.\nDrive continuous improvement through demand segmentation, exception management, demand-pattern analysis, customer-behavior analysis, and improved planning processes.\nEnsure Kinaxis and related planning tools are used effectively, consistently, and in accordance with established planning processes.\nProactively communicate material demand changes, customer issues, and business risks to regional and central Supply Planning.\nDevelop and maintain meaningful reporting and insights that support business decisions and the S&OP process.\nDemonstrate Berlin Values through strong ownership, collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a focus on profitable results. \nMentor & Develop Others\nMentor employees, with a focus on enhancing their Demand Planning, Logility, and S&OP skills-including Statistical Forecasting and Advanced Logility functionality.\nSupport a continuous improvement mode of operation.\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities: \nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Planning or equivalent\n5+ years of experience in a demand planning or related role\nWorking knowledge of demand planning systems such as Kinaxis, Logility, Blue Yonder\nProficient in MS office applications.\nAPICS certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred\nSound knowledge of supply chain functions including, demand, replenishment and sourcing processes\nStrong systems / process orientation with proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills\nDemonstrates the ability to learn Berlin Packaging’s business, products, customers, and suppliers\nStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels\nAbility to develop and lead a team of individuals\nAbility to work in a collaborative environment while demonstrating ability to handle complexity and resolve conflicts that may arise from balancing multiple priorities\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing company needs and deadlines\nHighly organized and detail oriented, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and follow up\nWorking Environment: Sales and Distribution Center Office\nCA Base Pay Range\n$95,000—$115,000 USD\nBerlin Packaging offers an outstanding compensation and benefits package including:\nCompetitive PTO including vacation, personal days, holidays, and sick time\n1Berlin Shared Ownership Plan\nProfit sharing\n401(k) with company match\nMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance\nHealth Savings Account (HSA)\nFlexible spending accounts (FSAs) for transportation, medical, and dependent care expenses\nPaid parental leave for up to 12weeks\nHealth club reimbursement\nTuition reimbursement\n529 college savings plan\nEmployee Assistance Program for mental health and well-being\nCalm app to improve mental wellbeing\nEmployee referral program\nCompany sponsored short- and long-term disability and life insurance with optional voluntary life insurance\nAt Berlin Packaging, we look at candidates’ skills but hire based on traits.
