We work with nearly all major brick-and-mortar and online retailers in Switzerland,\nactively shaping the future of payments.\nJob Description\nWe are looking for a\nDevOps Engineer (m/f/d)\n(unlimited, full-time) Join our team at our location in Chiasso - flexible working conditions\navailable\nAs part of the Cloud & Infrastructure team, you will play a key role in designing, automating, and\noperating CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure platforms supporting MF Group's critical business\nsystems. You will contribute directly to modernizing our software delivery processes, improving\ndeployment reliability, and enabling fast, secure, and repeatable delivery of applications across\non-premises and cloud environments.\nThe position is ideal for someone who enjoys automating repetitive work, bridging development and operations, and taking ownership of platform topics while driving the adoption of DevOps practices across teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI), collaborating closely with development teams to optimize build, test, and release workflows.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as\nCode tools such as Ansible and Packer, contributing to cloud-ready environments.\nDeploy, operate, and evolve containerized workloads on Kubernetes, drive the migration of services from virtual machines to containers, and support our cloud adoption.\nImprove observability and monitoring (e.g. New Relic or equivalent) and participate in incident handling and on-call support to ensure stable and predictable platform operations.\nOwn security hardening, patch management, and vulnerability remediation across infrastructure and the delivery pipeline.\nDefine and maintain infrastructure standards, best practices, and technical documentation.\nQualifications\nQualifications\nDegree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\nAt least 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering, with a proven track record of building and operating production systems.\nSolid experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).\nProven experience running containerized workloads on Kubernetes and administering Linuxbased environments.\nStrong experience with Ansible; experience with Terraform, Packer, or similar tools.\nExperience operating delivery platforms in production (troubleshooting, incident handling, and on-call support) combined with strong collaboration skills.\nNice to have\nAwareness of security, data protection, and compliance concepts (e.g. PII, GDPR).\nExperience in regulated industries such as financial services, payments, or banking.\nExperience with container security scanning and artifact management repositories (e.g. Sonatype Nexus).\nFamiliarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g. New Relic, OpenTelemetry, Nagios/Centreon).\nExperience with Linux lifecycle management tools (e.g. Katello / Foreman) or Kubernetes management platforms.\nExperience with identity and SSO solutions (e.g. Keycloak, OIDC, Entra ID).\nAdditional Information\nDisclosure requirements pertaining to the collection of your personal data:\nResponsible for processing the information provided in your application is the company specified in the job advertisement, with its registered office as indicated.
