In short: shaping FinTech.\nJob Description\nWe are looking for a\nSenior Business Analyst (m/f/d)\nJoin our team at our location in Berlin - hybrid working conditions available.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Senior Business Analyst in our Product team, you will shape and deliver our Consumer Risk Platform, the core capability behind real-time credit decisioning, fraud prevention, and customer risk assessment in our BNPL and checkout products. You will work at the intersection of Product, Risk, Data Science, Compliance, and Engineering, turning complex risk and regulatory requirements into scalable platform solutions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead business analysis for complex, cross-functional initiatives, from discovery to delivery and post-implementation evaluation.\nAct as a domain expert for customer risk, fraud prevention, and underwriting, and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.\nBreak down large initiatives into epics and user stories, aligned with architectural principles. Define acceptance criteria, support testing strategies, and validate complex business logic.\nOwn and refine business and system requirements across our risk platform landscape, including workflow engines, decision engines, data platforms, and third-party integrations.\nAssess the impact of regulatory and risk changes (e.g., BaFin or EU requirements) on systems, processes, and customer journeys.\nPartner with product leadership, engineering, and data science to influence roadmap decisions.\nMentor junior analysts and help improve our analysis frameworks and ways of working.\nQualifications\nWhat You Bring\nDegree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Economics, or a comparable field.\n5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst (or similar) in FinTech, payments, or financial services.\nStrong domain expertise in risk, fraud, or payment processing systems.\nProven experience leading complex initiatives and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.\nAbility to translate business needs into scalable system designs, including APIs, workflows, and data models.\nDeep experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), including backlog ownership and refinement.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.\nA high degree of ownership and autonomy.\nFluent English; German is a plus.\nNice to Have\nExperience with BNPL, consumer finance, or credit risk decisioning systems.\nHands-on experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, or Power BI.\nFamiliarity with fraud detection systems and rule- or ML-based decision engines.\nAdditional Information\nDisclosure requirements pertaining to the collection of your personal data:\nResponsible for processing the information provided in your application is the company specified in the job advertisement, with its registered office as indicated.
