Our portfolio includes companies in Business Services, Consumer, and Industrials verticals. We enable technology and drive growth through digital marketing, e-commerce, big data and analytics, application development and internal and external platform optimization.\nWe are seeking a Senior Enterprise Engineer to work across Bertram Capital and our portfolio companies. The primary focus of this role is to design, build, and scale our internal CRM system for Bertram Capital and its portfolio companies, and to lead successful ERP-to-ERP migrations for portfolio companies transitioning between platforms.\nThe ideal candidate is an adaptable, individual contributor who can work effectively with current systems while building new enterprise solutions, bringing best practices and evolving technical knowledge to solve business problems. The candidate we are looking for is independent and able to devise solutions on their own, but also is a solid team member who enjoys collaborating with other developers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders alike.\nWe are interested in talking with you if you enjoy working across the application stack, have a passion for learning new technologies, and willing to dig into tough problems.\nSome examples of recent projects completed for our portfolio companies:\nA web/mobile-enabled product catalog for sales reps to use to attract new customers.\nA data lake, connecting 9 different ERPs across a dozen divisions.\nA machine learning project to speed the integration of acquired companies’ parts inventories.\nResearching and prototyping a solution for building common marketing sites to quickly get a web presence for new acquisitions.\nUsing AI to analyze insurance claim text and photos for supplement generation.\nReplacing a bespoke ecommerce system with a more standard and flexible solution.\nBuilding an application to merge Shopify and inventory data to help predict when procurement needs to order more product from vendors.\nResponsibilities \nWorking with business stakeholders across our portfolio companies to understand their problems, bringing your experience to make build versus buy decisions to formulate the best solution.\nLeading the design, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of an open-source enterprise platform for Bertram Capital and portfolio companies.\nIntegrating current systems and data sources with new enterprise solutions, including planning and executing data migrations, APIs, and workflow integrations.\nLeading end-to-end ERP-to-ERP migrations for portfolio companies, including current-state assessment, data mapping, cleansing and conversion, cutover planning, validation, and post-go-live stabilization.\nPartnering with the project management team to define migration scope, timelines, milestones, and risks, and providing regular status updates to ensure on-time, successful delivery.\nEvaluating, implementing, and supporting alternative solutions that improve enterprise operations, scalability, and user adoption.\nDesigning, developing, testing, and maintaining technology solutions that meet client and business requirements.\nCollaborating with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree\nMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience\nDemonstrated experience working closely with end users on requirements gathering, implementation, and deployment of enterprise systems\nExperience developing applications with Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure\nExperience with multiple languages, such as Java, Python, and JavaScript\nExperience building or implementing proprietary and/or open-source enterprise applications\nHands-on experience developing on or customizing CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or open-source CRMs such as SuiteCRM or Odoo)\nProven track record leading full-lifecycle ERP-to-ERP migrations, including data conversion, cutover, and post-go-live support\nUnderstanding of how CRM and ERP systems integrate, including customer master data, quoting, and order-to-cash workflows\nExperience working within a structured project delivery framework (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) alongside project managers\nExperience with various integration patterns (i.e. messaging, APIs, etc.)\nSolid experience with database design and management\nStrong understanding of software architecture and design.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in fast-paced environments.\nEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as individually to come up with the best solution to a problem.\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe expected salary range for this position is: $155,000- $170,000 total annual compensation. Offered salary may be based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
