Beryl is growing nationally, and now is the most exciting time to join our team.\nThe Role\nYou will have a wonderful opportunity to work within one of the country’s most exciting bike, e-bike and scooter-share providers and maintain an integral role in our operations team. We are building teams across the country and whilst each has a local flavour we will all work to the same standards, job requirements and targets to maintain the same open and supportive culture.\nOur Bike/Scooter Mechanics are responsible for keeping the wheels moving. You will need to be conscientious, flexible and have a can-do attitude. Most importantly, you will be making yourself invaluable to the scheme and the wider community. You will have a wonderful opportunity to work within one of the country’s most exciting bike-share providers and maintain an integral role in our operations team.\nResponsibilities\nAd hoc and scheduled maintenance, including but not limited to;\nFull bike/scooter strip downs and rebuilds, minor and major repairs\nBike/scooter Technology (IoT) refurbishment and triage\nPrioritise personal and workshop health and safety, flagging any concerns locally and speak directly to senior Beryl management if you have concerns that are not being addressed\nUpdating stock control systems\nOn-street work (Redistribution, e-bike battery swaps, on-street repairs etc.)\nAt all times work to Beryl standards ensuring maintenance and vehicle builds provide safe vehicles to our Customers.\nFollow guidance from senior mechanics for complex jobs to continually improve your skill set.\nKeep accurate service and maintenance records whilst completing vehicle builds and repairs in our App.\nAs required, update our stock control systems to ensure records are up to date\nPass Beryl mechanics’ training and other internal qualifications that are needed to ensure we are all working to the same standards\nHelp to support Beryl’s continual learning and improving by pointing out recurring issues with our vehicles\nKeep yourself up to date with changes to processes and parts used on vehicle\nBe a team player, working and helping your local and the wider Beryl team\nGeneral housekeeping in workshops and communal areas\nSkills/Qualifications\nExperience of working in manufacturing, mechanical and/or an engineering front line environment, although full training will be provided\nKeen interest in bicycles\nFluency and good communication skills\nWhat we offer in return\nThe chance to build the business and help Beryl on our journey to become one of the biggest micromobility operators in the world.\n32 days off inclusive of bank holidays\nEmployer pension contributions\nPaid sick leave\nEnhanced parental leave\nBirthdays off\nEmployee assistance program (counseling support)\nAnnual learning and development budget\nCycle to work scheme - discounted bikes & accessories\nTech scheme - discounted technology and home products\nPaid volunteer days\nDiscounted gym memberships across the UK\nDiversity\nAt Beryl, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
