You will drive procurement excellence through strategic sourcing, commercial optimization, supplier relationship management, and effective coordination with project stakeholders. By ensuring timely procurement, cost efficiency, and compliance with technical and commercial requirements, you will directly contribute to project performance, operational efficiency, and overall business success.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcurement & Strategic Sourcing\nLead the procurement of electrical equipment, materials, and subcontract packages for construction and infrastructure projects.\nManage sourcing activities for key electrical systems, including:Medium Voltage (MV) Systems\nLow Voltage (LV) Systems\nTransformers\nSwitchgear\nGenerators\nUPS Systems\nLighting Systems\nPower Distribution Equipment\nPower and Control Cables\nCable Trays and Containment Systems\nEarthing and Lightning Protection Systems\nELV and Communication Systems\nBuilding Management and Specialized Electrical Systems\n\nDevelop sourcing strategies for major electrical packages and long-lead items.\nPrepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Invitations to Tender (ITT), and procurement documentation.\nIdentify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors through market research and benchmarking exercises.\nMaintain awareness of market trends, pricing fluctuations, supplier capabilities, and procurement risks.\nEstablish competitive procurement strategies that support project budgets and schedules.\nCommercial Management\nAnalyze supplier and subcontractor quotations through detailed techno-commercial evaluations.\nPrepare commercial comparison sheets and procurement recommendation reports.\nLead commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost savings and commercial advantages.\nEvaluate payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, liabilities, and contractual obligations.\nSupport the preparation, review, and finalization of purchase orders and subcontract agreements.\nIdentify value engineering opportunities and alternative sourcing solutions to improve project cost efficiency.\nEnsure all procurement recommendations comply with company approval matrices and procurement governance requirements.\nProject Coordination & Delivery Support\nCoordinate closely with Engineering, Design, Planning, Commercial, Construction, and Project Management teams.\nEnsure procurement activities align with project milestones, procurement schedules, and construction objectives.\nReview procurement priorities and critical path requirements.\nMonitor supplier production schedules, manufacturing progress, inspections, shipment status, and site deliveries.\nTrack procurement activities from award through delivery and final close-out.\nProactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks that may impact project delivery.\nResolve supplier performance issues and delivery challenges through effective stakeholder coordination.\nSupplier & Vendor Management\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and subcontractors.\nSupport supplier qualification, vendor registration, and performance evaluation processes.\nMonitor supplier performance against quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness KPIs.\nParticipate in supplier audits and capability assessments where required.\nSupport supplier development initiatives and long-term sourcing strategies.\nIdentify opportunities for supplier consolidation and category management optimization.\nPromote sustainable and ethical procurement practices within the supply chain.\nTechnical Review & Compliance\nReview project specifications, technical documents, drawings, BOQs, and material requirements.\nEnsure selected products and suppliers comply with project specifications and employer requirements.\nEvaluate supplier technical submissions and material submittals.\nCoordinate technical clarifications with engineering teams, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.\nAssess alternative products and support value engineering initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with applicable international standards, project requirements, and local authority regulations.\nSupport technical bid analysis during supplier selection and procurement recommendation stages.\nProcurement Governance & Reporting\nEnsure full compliance with BESIX procurement procedures, policies, and Delegation of Authority requirements.\nMaintain procurement registers, logs, trackers, and reporting dashboards.\nPrepare procurement status reports for project and management review meetings.\nMonitor procurement KPIs, budgets, commitments, and savings initiatives.\nSupport spend analysis and procurement performance reporting activities.\nMaintain complete procurement documentation and audit-ready procurement records.\nParticipate in procurement excellence initiatives, digital procurement programs, and continuous improvement projects.\n You’re a Great Fit If You Have\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.\nExperience\n3-8 years of procurement experience within construction, infrastructure, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects.\nDemonstrated experience procuring major electrical systems and equipment packages.\nExperience managing both local and international supplier networks.\nProven experience in tendering, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations.\nExperience coordinating procurement activities within multidisciplinary project environments.\nTechnical Competencies\nStrong understanding of electrical systems and associated construction materials.\nComprehensive knowledge of procurement lifecycle management.\nStrong sourcing and supplier selection capabilities.\nAbility to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).\nKnowledge of electrical equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and market trends.\nStrong commercial evaluation and cost analysis skills.\nContract awareness and understanding of procurement-related risks.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting tools.\nKnowledge
