Do you enjoy working closely with operational teams and turning financial data into meaningful insights?\nJoin BESIX and contribute to some of Belgium's most exciting construction projects.\nFor our Business Unit Belgium & Luxembourg, we are looking for a Senior Cost Controller to strengthen our Finance team.\nAs a Senior Cost Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate project reporting, supporting project management teams, and providing financial expertise throughout the project lifecycle. You will mainly support projects located in the Ghent area (approximately 80%), combining office-based work at our Brussels headquarters (approximately 20%).\nYour Responsibilities\nManage and coordinate the monthly cost control and reporting process for your assigned projects.\nAnalyse project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and challenge financial assumptions where necessary.\nReview and validate project cost control data in collaboration with Project Managers and operational teams.\nEnsure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial information and reports.\nSupport Project Managers by providing timely financial insights and performance analyses.\nAct as a business partner for project teams and ensure that all relevant accounting and financial data are properly communicated.\nContribute to the continuous improvement and simplification of cost control processes and reporting tools.\nPrepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to the Cost Control Manager and other stakeholders.\n Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum 5 years of professional experience, including experience in cost control, project controlling, audit, finance, or a similar analytical role.\nStrong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.\nConfident communicator capable of challenging and influencing stakeholders at different levels.\nFluent in Dutch and English.
