Prepares and handles raw material to include transporting via forklift and hand trucks.\nKeys to Success\nProblem Solver\nMechanically inclined and demonstrates strong aptitude for repair and diagnostics.\nCollaborator\nAble to effectively work with and communicate with customers, coworkers and vendors in a professional, courteous manner\nDiligent Worker\nIs self-driven and responsible for keeping up on assigned duties without constant supervision\nDetail Oriented\nHigh level of accuracy, effective organizational skills, precise decision-making skills\n Responsibilities & Duties\nPrepare equipment and confirm status to start up or shut down production plant.\nEnsure all production/manufacturing raw materials are prepared and/or delivered when required.\nComplies with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.\nDiagnoses and repairs electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical problems and equipment for assigned areas.\nKeeps the outside grounds free of weeds, clutter, trash, and snow in adverse weather.\nMixes materials, handles raw materials, resin, glass, gel coat, acetone and other production materials as needed.\nInstalls fixtures and repairs and maintains plumbing as needed.\nRequires multi-tasking, being self-motivated and prioritizing tasks. \nWork overtime as needed and may include weekends and holidays when the manufacturing facility is not in operation; or when special projects require it (deemed by Management)\nAssists in the completion of Preventative and Predictable Maintenance \nDumps trash, clean parts, preps equipment for production as needed \n Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills\nNo less than 1 year experience fixing/repairing large and small mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment as well as generalized maintenance (plumbing, painting, carpentry).\nMust have a valid driver’s license and good driving record and be insurable.\nMust have experience in driving a forklift and successfully acquire a forklift Operation Certificate per company standards.\nPosition requires standing on feet for 8 or more hours per day.\nMust be self-motivated, self-directed, and have the ability to remain on task\nRegular/dependable attendance, accuracy, and attention to detail.\nMechanical knowledge of using and repairing machines and tools \nProper use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools\nBasic hydraulics, plumbing, and carpentry \nRequirements\nWork Environment & Physical Demands\nWork is performed primarily in a maintenance environment with moderate noise level. The employee in this class is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. \nPosition requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to accomplish work tasks.\nPotential for exposure to chemicals, solvents, and hazardous equipment, such as electric saws and welding equipment.\nFrequently works with caustic chemicals & vibrations.\nConstantly exposed to strong chemical smells and contaminants.\nConstantly handles power tools.\nConstantly bending, reaching, extending, twisting, griping, and uses muscles to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects with assistance up to 100 lbs.\n Constantly requires walking, climbing, balancing, or standing for long periods of time, up to 8 hours.\nConstantly requires clarity of speech and hearing, which permits the employee to communicate effectively.\nConstantly requires clear vision to see objects at close range and to read printed materials to accomplish work.\n MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORKDAY & SWING SHIFTS BY ASSIGMENT AND ROTATIONS. \nConstantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.\nRequired to work outside and in adverse weather at times to help clear snow or clear weeds and trash and any other work tasks assigned by Management.\nTools, Equipment & Protective Gear Used\nDrills, screw drivers, grinders, forklift, tape measure, all types of saws, high shear mixer, hand wrenches.
