As a Manufacturing Technician at BETA Technologies, you will work in a small team environment to take designs from process development through repeatable production. You will perform daily hands-on assembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation tasks while working closely with engineering, quality, and operations to incorporate design and process improvements into existing builds.\nHow you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:\nPerform hands-on assembly of ground support equipment, including charge systems, thermal management systems, mini cubes, power-distribution assemblies, and related mechanical and electrical subassemblies.\nOperate production equipment and use hand and power tools to build, maintain, test, and prepare GSE assemblies for shipment or deployment.\nFollow technical data packages, work instructions, drawings, bills of material, and wiring diagrams to meet product specifications and tolerance requirements.\nInstall, route, terminate, and verify electrical harnesses, connectors, panels, and hardware in accordance with approved build documentation.\nPerform functional checks, in-process quality inspections, and basic troubleshooting; identify and escalate process deviations, nonconformances, and safety concerns.\nUse measuring, diagnostic, and test equipment to evaluate assemblies and support root-cause investigation and corrective actions.\nMaintain accurate, clear manufacturing records, including assembly documentation, inspection results, torque values, electrical checks, and test data.\nSupport process development, continuous-improvement activities, and incorporation of engineering changes into production builds.\nUse required personal protective equipment and comply with company and government safety requirements, including electrical and high-voltage safety practices.\nPerform other work-related duties as assigned to meet company goals.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nTwo or more years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, automotive, industrial-equipment, or related technical setting; or a two-year degree or certificate from an accredited technical school, college, or university.\nAbility to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and work instructions.\nWorking knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical assembly practices.\nAbility to assist with problem analysis and make sound, independent decisions within established procedures.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain complete, accurate production documentation.\nGood team communication skills and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.\nAbove and Beyond Qualifications:\nExperience manufacturing, testing, or servicing electric-vehicle charging equipment, industrial power systems, battery systems, or aerospace ground support equipment.\nExperience with high-voltage DC systems, electrical troubleshooting, crimping and harness assembly, or production test equipment.\nKnowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methods.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
