They document their results, identify defects and report when instances of poor quality items increase. Quality Control Inspectors safely discard or destroy items that don’t meet the necessary specifications to prevent unsatisfactory inventory from reaching production. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards. The ideal candidate has keen attention to detail, and is proficient in using precision dimensional inspection equipment including, but not limited to, calipers and micrometers.\nHow you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:\nPerform Quality Control inspections & testing per inspection work instructions in an Aerospace manufacturing environment\nRetrieval and interpretation of technical documents\nInterpret technical documents and develop inspection work instructions\nPerform First Article Inspections per AS9102\nComplete required documentation and enter into ERP system, create inspection reports as needed\nCommunicate technical requirements to shop personnel\nAssign traceability to incoming raw material, quarantine, and scrap components\nPrioritize workflow\nMaintain measuring equipment\nContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed\nPerform tasks as needed per individual jobs\nMaintain a clean work environment, and comply with safety requirements\nMinimum Qualifications we are seeking:\nHigh School graduate or equivalent\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings\nAt least 1 year of experience in manufacturing operations\nWorking knowledge of GD&T\nExperience performing dimensional inspections using standard precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gage blocks\nProficient in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and/or web based software.\nAttention to detail\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nMechanical aptitude\nAbility to work independently, but function as a team player\nAbility to work Friday-Sunday, 6am-6pm\nAbove and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:\nKnowledge of ASME Y14.5\nTwo or four year degree in Mechanical Engineering\nWorking knowledge of CAD software including Catia, or Onshape.\nTwo or more years of experience in quality control in aerospace\nCertification from American Society for Quality (ASQ)\nExperience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma\nKnowledge of Quality Management Systems such as AS9100\nKnowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace conformity requirements\nExperienced interfacing with Business Enterprise Systems such as Plex\nExperience with inspection software such as InspectionXpert, NetInspect, or equivalent reporting software\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
