This role requires equal parts engineering depth and interpersonal skill: you will build trust with non-technical stakeholders, translate ambiguous problems into clear technical designs, and ship high-quality software in a fast-moving environment.\nHow you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:\nEmbed directly with business teams across BETA to identify, scope, and solve operational and technical problems\nDesign, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications, internal tools, and APIs that address real business needs\nLeverage AI and LLM technologies to accelerate development and build intelligent workflows for the teams you support\nTranslate complex, ambiguous requirements from non-technical stakeholders into clear technical designs and working solutions\nAssess technical feasibility of proposed requirements and communicate tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders\nContribute to intake and prioritization by surfacing new demand from the teams and products you engage with\nMaintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and long-term adoption of solutions\nAcknowledge and learn from past mistakes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field\n3-5 years of professional software engineering experience\nProficiency in modern full-stack development (e.g., React/TypeScript and Python or Node.js)\nExperience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)\nExperience with REST APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)\nExperience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders\nDemonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt rapidly to changing requirements\nAbove and Beyond Qualifications:\nPrevious experience at a startup or in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment\nExperience building internal tools and enterprise applications\nExperience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a regulated industry\nExperience with enterprise system integrations (ERP, HRIS, PLM, QMS)\nTrack record of identifying, scoping, and delivering projects with minimal direction\nThe wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role.
