This foundational role focuses on accurate, hands-on execution of content programming while learning the core tools, workflows, and systems that power the betting experience. The Programming team operates on a 365-day, two-shift schedule. The Programming Specialist I is a foundational contributor focused on accurate execution of content programming and learning core tools, workflows, and systems.\nThis role will work directly with the two additional Audience Engagements pillars: Experience (responsible for optimizing the customer betting experience through data-led planning, A/B testing, and removing points of friction) and Enablement (responsible for providing the Audience Engagement with appropriate tooling and workflows to support speed and scale).\nScope of function for the Programming Specialist I role includes but is not limited to daily sportsbook programming across all existing states and territories, content-based A/B test programming, sitemap management and updates, and contributing to process enhancements for the Audience Engagement team at-large - all in the name of delivering content to our audience in the most efficient means possible and amplifying the customer experience at all times.\nAt the end of the day, we are working together to build best-in-class customer experiences for millions of users - with the primary goal of being the biggest and best online sports and gaming operator in the United States.\nResponsibilities\nExecute daily content programming tasks across the app, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of content\nConfigure features (e.g., carousels, modules, banners) according to content plans and established standards\nFollow defined workflows, checklists, and QA processes to ensure high-quality execution\nProgram and monitor multiple layouts at once based on customer data points\nUnderstand landscape of A/B testing and program pre-defined tests to support roadmap\nEngage with cross-functional teams like Trading and Promotions, ensuring relevant content is accurate across teams\nProgram and maintain non-sports content areas across the platform, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for house rules, privacy policies, sitemap, responsible gaming resources, Customer Support messaging, and more\nMonitor live content to ensure accuracy, functionality, and visual consistency across platforms\nLooks for opportunities to optimize live displays based for real-time progression of events, breaking news, and shifts in betting activity\nMaintain accuracy and consistency in naming conventions, imagery, and other merchandising components\nContribute to documentation updates by flagging workflow ambiguities or inconsistencies\nFlag content gaps, bugs, or execution blockers for escalation and resolution\nCollaborate with Enablement and Experience teams to provide feedback on tools, content display, or customer experience\nDevelop familiarity with sports calendars, betting markets, and app engagement behaviors\nEssential Functions\nMust be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time\nQualifications\n1+ years of experience in operations, content programming, audience engagement or a related digital content or support role\nExperience working within a content management system (CMS) or other digital content tool\nComfort working with complex systems or platforms and learning new tools quickly\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple daily tasks\nStrong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency in execution\nAbility to follow structured workflows and adapt to process changes\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to clearly document or flag issues\nFlexible and team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to take direction and ask questions\nExperience with QA, bug reporting, or cross-functional collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is a plus\nFamiliarity with sports betting, gaming, or a related industry is a plus\nWillingness to travel occasionally domestically and/or internationally\nAdditional Requirements (if applicable)\nPrior experience with sports, casino, and/or gaming websites and mobile apps\nDemonstrating a strong interpersonal skill set - being able to communicate with team members effectively and emphatically at all levels within an organization\nBeing an innovative thinker, someone not afraid to challenge the status quo and ask questions\nShowing a true passion for this industry inclusive of sports, casinos, and entertainment\nAbout Our Culture\nBuilding BetMGM from the ground up takes effort, energy, and teamwork, but that’s what will make leading this industry all the more satisfying.
