Within this capacity you will have the chance to design new data pipelines, maintain platforms hosted on data streams for batch and real-time loading and real-time visualisations.\nA taster of what you will be involved with: \nMaintaining and evolving our existing data platform;\nBuilding processes to ingest data from Kafka, APIs and Databases using AWS MSK Connect.\nDevelopment and Maintenance of real-time data processing applications using frameworks like Spark Structured Streaming and Kafka Streams.\nApplying transformations to data streams;\nBeing involved in data modelling following standards e.g. Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault;\nEnsuring data quality by verifying data consistency and accuracy;\nKeeping up to date on research and development of new technologies and techniques to enhance our data platform;\nHave an investigative mindset to be able to troubleshoot - thinking outside the box when it comes to troubleshooting problems and incident management;\nFull ownership on projects and tasks assigned together with being able to work within a Team;\nAble to document well processes and perform knowledge sharing sessions\nWhat we are looking for:\nMust haves: \nExperience with modern cloud database technologies such as Snowflake;\nExperience with orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow;\nExperience with AWS Glue;\nExperience with Apache Iceberg;\nExperience with SQL, and Data Integration Tools\nExperience with any programming language like Python or Scala;\nKnowledge on AWS Services like S3/Lambda/API Gateways/DMS/RDS;\nDevelopment experience in both Microsoft, and Linux/Cloud environments;\nHave strong analytical and problem-solving skills\nNice to have:\nFamiliar with Data Warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques suchas Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault;\nFamiliar with AWS Services such asMSK and EMR;\nFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nFamiliarity with Time-series or Analytics Databases such as Elasticsearch;\nFamiliar with data streaming using technologies such as Kafka;\nFamiliar with software versioning tools like GIT;\nFamiliar with infrastructure scripting like Terraform;\nFamiliar with Data Monitoring and Visualisation tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, Cloudwatch;\nScripting - Powershell, Unix Scripting;\nAt least 2 years experience in Data Engineering;\nExcellent verbal and writing English communication skills;\nGood learning mindset;\nAble to set priorities and multitask\nWhat we offer\nMuch like riding a rollercoaster, sometimes life at Betsson can be lightning fast with twists and turns but always FUN!
