You will have a deep knowledge of the data model used to be able to effectively perform the duties and work closely together with both operations teams and developers to ensure the highest quality and performance.\nA taster of what you will be involved with: \nDatabase Administration:\nMaintain, monitor and support production and development of databases and environments;\nMonitoring and troubleshooting database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlock issues, replication/log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.;\nTroubleshooting SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, diskspace and other resource contention;\nApply high availability through backups, restores, DBCC commands, clustering, availability groups, replication;\nImplement operational automation;\nInstall and configure new SQL Servers;\nApply latest patches and updates;\nPlanning System storage and partitioning\nDatabase Development:\nWrite, optimize and maintain stored procedures;\nPerformance tuning of T-SQL queries based on best practices;\nEnsure that the databases are optimized from a performance perspective;\nIndex management, creation, storage, and integrity checks;\nWorking in partnership with development teams and providing technical expertise to attain highly optimized and innovative solutions;\nDeploy database change scripts;\nSupport developers on the most efficient database designs (tables, datatypes, stored procedures, functions, etc);\nModelling of data optimized for readwrite workloads.\nTech Support: \nProvide on call support;\nParticipate in root cause analysis for production incidents.\nWhat we are looking for:\nMust have:\nGood experience with Administration of SQL Server Databases at least 3 years\nGood experience with Administration of PostgreSQL Databases at least 3 years\nHigh proficiency in coding and performance analysis of SQL queries\nStrong experience with Linux and Windows Server Administration\nFamiliarity with Cloud Databases (AWS)\nExposure to data observability concepts\nExperience with monitoring and Alerts tools\nNice to have: \nExperience with MySQL\nExperience with Snowflake\nWhat we offer\nMuch like riding a rollercoaster, sometimes life at Betsson can be lightning fast with twists and turns but always FUN!
