As our products evolve, we're continually improving our architecture, modernizing portions of our codebase, and evaluating technologies that help us build secure, reliable, and scalable software.\nBackend: Linux, nginx, Laravel (PHP), MySQL, Redis\nFrontend: React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS\nExisting technologies you may encounter as we modernize the platform: Twig, Bootstrap, jQuery\nWe do not expect candidates to have worked with every technology in our environment. We value strong software engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems.\nWhat will you do?\nYou will develop end to end, owning features from technical design and development through deployment, monitoring, and continued improvement.\nYou will write clean, secure, readable, maintainable, and scalable code.\nYou will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and other cross-functional partners.\nYou will design, integrate, and build internal and external APIs.\nYou will develop new products and features while improving and modernizing existing systems.\nYou will write and optimize SQL queries and design relational database schemas.\nYou will create and maintain complex backend services and algorithms.\nYou will profile, troubleshoot, and optimize new and legacy code.\nYou will build experiences that work across mobile, tablet, and desktop environments.\nYou will contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering practices that improve quality, reliability, security, and developer experience.\nYou will ship thoughtfully and frequently in an agile environment with continuous deployment.\nYou will care about our product, mission, and long-term success, well beyond checking off development tasks.\nYou will thoughtfully use approved AI-assisted development tools to reduce repetitive work, explore solutions, and improve productivity while applying your own engineering judgment to architecture, implementation, security, privacy, and code quality. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the U.S. While we embrace the flexibility of remote work, we also value opportunities to bring teams together in person for collaboration and connection.
