As we continue to expand, we are building a finance function capable of delivering robust, well-controlled, public company-quality reporting across a complex international business.\nWe are seeking an experienced Manager Consolidation to report into the Director Consolidation, who will lead the delivery of the Group's quarterly and annual consolidated financial reporting while driving continuous improvements in systems, processes and controls.\nThis is a visible role with exposure to senior stakeholders across the Group and involvement in adhoc projects including IFRS developments and M&A activity.\nKey Contribution Areas\nLead the delivery of Athora's quarterly Group consolidation process and support the production of annual financial statements and reporting for both the ultimate parent entity and relevant sub-consolidations.\nReview business unit submissions, consolidation journals, intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely and compliant with Group requirements.\nProduce insightful financial analysis and reporting that clearly explains business performance, key trends and the underlying drivers of results.\nBuild strong relationships across Finance, Actuarial, Tax and divisional finance teams to ensure the smooth delivery of reporting requirements and consistent application of Group accounting policies.\nManage relationships with external auditors, supporting audit planning, issue resolution and year-end sign-off.\nDrive the continued embedding of IFRS reporting requirements across the Group, including supporting developments relating to IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.\nHelp strengthen the Group's reporting framework through the enhancement of controls, governance, reporting templates, accounting policies and process documentation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation and scalability as the Group continues to grow and reporting requirements evolve.\nLead, coach and develop members of the Group Consolidation team, fostering high standards of performance, accountability and continuous improvement.\nSupport wider Group Finance initiatives, including finance transformation projects, M&A activity and other strategic business priorities.\nPersonal Capabilities Required\nA proactive and highly motivated self-starter.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving managerial skills.\nResilience and adaptability in a business experiencing significant growth and change.\nTechnical Knowledge Required\nEssential Experience\nQualified accountant (ACA, CA or ACCA).\n5+ years post-qualification experience within financial reporting and consolidation.\nLife insurance industry experience.\nExtensive experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial reporting.\nExperience managing and developing finance professionals.\nStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills.\nDesirable Experience\nStrong IFRS knowledge, ideally including IFRS 17.\nExposure to IFRS 9 and US GAAP.\nBig 4 or Top 10 accounting firm background, with a combination of audit and industry experience.\nExperience working with financial reporting systems such as SAP
