This position is essential to maintaining the daily readiness, functionality, and efficiency of our perfusion systems.\nWe seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support Operations and R&D by executing perfusion runs, preparing solutions, maintaining lab best practices, troubleshooting equipment issues, documenting experimental results, and handling sample collection.\nThis role requires strict adherence to aseptic techniques, compliance with experimental protocols, and maintaining an organized, secure, and efficient lab environment. If you thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced scientific setting and are passionate about advancing bioprocess innovation, we encourage you to apply!\nKey Responsibilities\nAssemble, prime, decontaminate, and maintain perfusion devices to ensure proper functionality, sterility, and readiness for experimental procedures.\nOperate and maintain basic laboratory equipment, such as a pH meter, analytical balance, and/or biosafety cabinets; perform procedures for standard laboratory assays; and effectively perform aseptic techniques.\nCollect and record data according to established protocols and maintain accurate, up-to-date records. The employee will be expected to acquire a level of knowledge to properly execute experiments and analyze results.\nResponsible for general laboratory maintenance; preparing solutions, reagents, and media following defined laboratory protocols; inventory supplies on a weekly basis. Request materials and supplies as necessary in accordance with established procedures; stock supplies upon receipt.\nOperate lab computers for data entry and maintain complete and up-to-date strain, reagent, and chemical lists.\nExchange data and other information in an appropriate manner, requiring good oral and written communication skills.\nPromote a collaborative, cooperative work environment.\nComply with biohazard safety standards by properly handling potentially hazardous chemical and biological agents in the workplace.\nIdentify and report problems in completing routine lab procedures.\nLead laboratory and supply maintenance activities, ensuring all scheduled activities are completed and signed off by the manager or designate.\nPreferred Education and Qualifications\nBS in a science field, biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, or other biology-relevant fields are preferred.\nExperience operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment and potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, infectious bacteria, biohazards, etc.).\nWorking knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems.\nAnalytical and numerical skills: the ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement and to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.\nAbility to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc.\nHighly reliable, detail-oriented, and organized.\nEager to develop skills in experiment planning, execution, data analysis, and documentation.\nCan work independently and also excel in a team environment.\nWillingness to take on non-traditional tasks, roles, responsibilities, and challenges needed to accomplish company goals and objectives.\nPlease Read:\nThis position is based in a laboratory setting and operates on a multiple-shift schedule, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Candidates must be available for on-call rotations as needed.\nWe offer competitive shift differential pay for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
