An environment where your skills will evolve at the frontier of innovation and AI, ensuring continuous growth and development.\nWe are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Managed Services team.\nWe look for people who embody:\nInnovation to solve the hardest problems.\nAccountability for every result.\nIntegrity always.\nAbout The Role\nCloud Solution Design and Implementation:\nDesign and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform services and products\nAnalyse business requirements and recommend appropriate cloud technologies and architectures\nDevelop and maintain cloud infrastructure code using tools such as Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager\nInfrastructure Management and Automation:\nManage and automate the deployment, scaling, and management of cloud infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes or Google Cloud Deployment Manager\nOptimise infrastructure costs by analysing usage and implementing cost-saving measures such as reserved instances or instance rightsizing\nImplement infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure consistency, repeatability, and version control of cloud infrastructure\nSecurity and Compliance:\nImplement and maintain security controls and policies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud infrastructure and data\nMonitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities, and perform regular security assessments and audits\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS\nMonitoring and Troubleshooting:\nMonitor cloud infrastructure and services for performance, availability, and security issues using tools such as Stackdriver or Prometheus\nPerform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure and services, and implement corrective actions and preventive measures\nContinuously improve the reliability and resilience of cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices such as fault-tolerance, redundancy, and disaster recovery\nBAU activity would also require:\nProactive management of customer related tasks and projects, by applying the learned skills and knowledge. \nProactiveness in: identifying and suggesting improvements where applicable, detecting missing documentation and filling in the gaps.\nProviding technical support whilst attending meetings with stakeholders as needed. \nActing as a mentor for the more junior colleagues by sharing your knowledge and expertise, and guiding them through the successful resolution of customer related tasks. \nRequirements\nWhat Success Looks Like\nExcellent understanding of Google Cloud Platform architecture and services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Build.\nExperience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible and containerisation tools such as Docker.\nAbility to code using Python, Go, Bash, or similar scripting languages\nUnderstanding of networking, security, and compliance in a cloud environment and/or on linux distribution systems.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex issues and provide root cause analysis\nAlready be, or desire to be professionally certified in Google Cloud\nBenefits\nWe believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally.
