Every contribution matters, and you'll play a key role in our collective performance.\nYour Mission\nThe FPGA Engineer VIE provides FPGA engineering expertise and service for embedded processing and payload solutions to development projects and series production programs in the Business Unit Electronic Solutions domain. You will be responsible for the development and verification of FPGA solutions for satellite onboard embedded processing and payload products and ground electronics products.\nThe FPGA Engineer:\nAnalyses and understands the internal and/or external customer requirements for FPGAs\nUnderstands and applies the FPGA requirements and FPGA design engineering processes and flows\nManages tracing of FPGA requirements towards system requirements level\nGrasps and fosters the interdisciplinary and x-functional developments and pro-actively interfaces with adjacent system, software, hardware and technical lead engineering teams to drive technical concepts, modularity, synergies across products, projects and technology choices\nDevelops and implements the architecture concept/design for the FPGA of satellite onboard and ground support systems, equipments and sub-systems\nDevelops the verification approach for the FPGA\nInterfaces with adjacent system, software and hardware development teams to secure maximum synergies between system, software and hardware validation tests and FPGA validation test\nStrives for modular and customizable solutions, empowers product variants, fosters technology-USPs as well as product- USPs and pro-actively interfaces with adjacent innovation directorate to drive new product ideas\nGenerates the FPGA development documentation and data-packages\nParticipates in meetings with customers and subcontractors, and when necessary, manages technical issues related to FPGA\nTakes the technical, budgetary and schedule responsibility for the fulfilment of the assigned engineering tasks including the handover to other disciplines and teams \nYour Story\nMusts:\nExperience and good knowledge in FPGA/ASIC design and development in VHDL for complex and reliable satellite onboard and ground support solutions\nGood knowledge about company’s products, both from an overall perspective as well as details on FPGA designs including future evolvements and future technologies\nAbility to set up trade-off’s regarding cost, time, quality, performance, etc., based on the combination of the customer’s need and the projects budget\nAbility to document and describe the FPGA designs from a customer’s perspective\nEducation in Electrical/Software/Aerospace Engineering, M.Sc. level (or corresponding experience) with a proven expertise and track record in FPGA design and/or space-flight Engineering\nNice to have:\nExperience with agile methods or experience as team leader for agile teams\nA cross-competence profile that can support other roles within the development team like HW design or SW design.\nExperience in verification with SystemVerilog / UVM or UVVM(OSVVM)\nDeep knowledge in telecommunications and digital signal processing \nWhy Beyond Gravity?\nYou will be a part of an engaged team with the ambition to innovate space!\nYou will work in a growing high-tech company with career opportunities within the location or internationally.\nIn Austria we offer attractive benefits such as additional days off based on time worked in (bridge days and the period between Christmas and January 6), a cafeteria, health promotion programs, etc.We offer flexible hours to match your rhythm.\nWe are required to state a minimum gross salary for this position in accordance with the collective agreement: this amounts to EUR 4473 ,- per month.
