They are looking for an outstanding individual to join the teamlocatedinDevault, PA locationasan Electrical and Controls Technician.\nThe Electrical & Controls Technician supports the Engineering Department in executing electrical andcontrols-related projects while serving as a flexible technical resource for maintenance operations. This roleis responsible forsupporting capital projects, improving system reliability, reducing downtime, andmaintainingplant equipment and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.\nTASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform andassistEngineering with the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment, including panel wiring, I/O checkout, system validation, and startup support.\n\nSupport process improvements to existing systems, including modifications to HMIs and PLC ladder logic to improve reliability, safety, and performance.\n\nDevelop and implement minor automation enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.\n\nPerform root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring electrical and controls failures and implement corrective actions.\n\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and one-line diagrams to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and power distribution systems.\n\nDiagnose and resolve system issues through PLC programming updates, HMI configuration changes, instrumentation adjustments, and electrical modifications.\n\nConfigure and troubleshoot networked industrial devices using Ethernet/IP and related communication protocols.\n\nSource, install, configure, and calibrate instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc.) to support plant operations and process accuracy.\n\nMaintain and update electrical documentation, panel schedules, network layouts, and control system backups using AutoCAD and related software.\n\nEnsure allcontrolsdocumentation isaccurate, current, and compliant with internal standards.\n\nSupport capital project execution by coordinating timelines, materials, and contractor activities.\n\nOversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.\n\nProvide advanced troubleshooting support to maintenance teams for electrical andcontrols-related breakdowns.\n\nExecute and improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical and automation systems.\n\nAssistin developing equipment reliability strategies to reduce downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).\n\nSupport spare parts identification, inventory optimization, and criticalcomponenttracking for automation systems.\n\nRespond to emergency troubleshooting calls and support after-hours needs asrequired.\n\nAssistwithmaintainingcontrol panels, VFDs, motor controls, and power distribution equipment.\n\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving safety, and increasing throughput.\n\nPartner with Production and Operations teams toidentifyprocess bottlenecks and implement automation-based solutions.\n\nVision systems (Cognex), robotic case packing and palletizingoperationand troubleshooting.\n\nTrain maintenance personnel and equipment operators oncontrolssystems, troubleshooting techniques, and safe equipment operation.\n\nContribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) related tocontrolssystems and equipment functionality.\n\nSupport validation and testing activities for new or modified systems.\n\nEnsure all electrical andcontrolsworkcomplies withapplicable codes, standards, and company policies.\n\nAdhere to all facility policiesregardingsafety, security, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).\n\nParticipate in safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation initiatives.\n\nMaintainaccuraterecords of maintenance, calibration, and system modifications.\n\nSupervisory Duties\nNone\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:\nFormal certification in Electrical trade through accredited trade school or collegeor 7 years in an automation orcontrolsengineering role.\n\nMinimum of 3 years of experienceinwiring,troubleshootingand development ofcontrolssystems.\n\nExperience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.\n\nMust be a self-starter and can handle multiple tasks and requests.\n\nMust have the ability to communicate clearly to multiple levels throughout the organization.\n\nAbility to work some weekends for project work and field emergency phone calls.\n\nTechnical Skills:\nStrongproficiencyin PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic modifications.\n\nFactoryTalk View ME\n\nStudio 5000\n\nRSLogix500\n\nRSLinx\n\nMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)\n\nAutoCAD\n\nWorking knowledge of Ethernet/IP protocol.\n\nProficient in the use of electrical test equipment including Digital Multimeters, Insulation Testers, and Thermocouple Calibrators.\n\nKnowledge requested but notrequired:\nIgnition\n\nSQL\n\nPython\n\nVisual Basic\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWarehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.\n\nThe work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
