The Maintenance Team is a matrix organization within the Company that is dedicated to creating food products that are leading the gold standard in plant-based proteins.We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team locatedin Devault, PA as a Refrigeration & HVAC Technician.\nThis position will be responsible forproviding general mechanical and electrical maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and building related tocommercialHVAC. Other tasks include working with production to increase efficiencies and reduce downtime, providing preventative maintenance,and assistwith completing work orders.\nTASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nInstalling, maintainingand repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment\nDiagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on all HVAC systems,including defrosting evaporators.\nTest setups for air or gas leaks using specialized pressure gauges.\n\nCheck refrigerantlevels and recharge systems according to SOP’s and environmental guidelines.While recovering and storing refrigerantssafely to comply withEPA guidelines.\n\nExperience in welding, brazingand soldering piping.\n\nIdentifyingmaintenance risks on equipment\n\nCleaning, adjusting, and repairing condenserand evaporator coils.\n\nPerforming emergency repairs promptly and efficiently\n\nEnsuring compliance withOSHA guidelines\n\nResponsible for all equipment for manufacturing, distributing, and maintainingsafe quality food by following good manufacturing practices, food defense, HACCP, SQFrequirements, and HVAC temperatures\n\nMaintain maintenance standards for efficiencies, continuous improvement, safety, and quality\n\nResponsible for maintainingand servicing production equipment, completing work orders, and documenting activities\n\nMaximize OEE, fulfilling preventative and predictive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, BBSO’s, and driving corrective actions\n\nSetup and operatevarious power tools and equipment\n\nTroubleshooting skills both in electrical and mechanical\n\nParticipating in Energy efficiency / cost saving projects\n\nOperating powered industrial equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, etc.)\n\nOperating exhaust and ventilation systems, along with maintainingpressure dependent areas\n\nAdhere to all facility policies concerning safety,andsecurity.\n\nPerforms other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner\n\nSupervisory Duties\nNone\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:\nHigh school diploma, GEDor suitable equivalent\n\n5+ years experienceas an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field\n\nPossess a Type 4 Universal EPA certification\n\nValid driver's license\n\nUnderstanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration,and heating\n\nProficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols\n\nAmmonia experience a plus.\n\nOther qualifications:\n\nSheet metal fabrication;welding (TIG, MIG, Stick experience needed); soldering\n\nArc flashing training / OSHA knowledge\n\nCMMS software knowledge\n\nExcellent written, verbaland interpersonal skills\n\nProficient in reading schematics and work plans\n\nKnowledge/experience in food/beverage manufacturing facility\n\nAbility to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice\n\nWork flexible shifts as required\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWarehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.\n\nThe work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
