maintainability, and cost.\nTranslate business requirements into technical designs, system integrations, and implementation plans.\nEstablish engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices across the development lifecycle.\nIdentify technical risks early and make informed trade-offs between delivery timelines and long-term maintainability.\n\nMobile Application Development: \nLead the development of high-quality mobile applications using Flutter, with a strong understanding of native Android and iOS development.\nDesign mobile application architecture, state management, navigation, API integration, offline capabilities, and error handling.\nUnderstand platform-specific requirements, performance optimization, app lifecycle management, permissions, and deployment processes.\nEnsure reliable integration between mobile applications, backend services, and third-party systems.\n\nBackend Engineering and AWS: \nDesign, develop, and maintain production-grade backend services using Python, FastAPI, and AWS Lambda.\nBuild and deploy containerized applications using Docker, Amazon ECS, and AWS Fargate.\nDesign robust APIs, asynchronous workflows, integrations, and data models.\nApply best practices for authentication, authorization, observability, automated testing, CI/CD, and production monitoring.\nMake sound architectural decisions around serverless versus containerized workloads, reliability, scalability, and cloud costs.\n\nProduct Thinking and Customer Collaboration: \nWork directly with customer stakeholders to understand business objectives, clarify requirements, and translate them into actionable engineering plans.\nParticipate in product discovery, solution design, feature prioritization, and technical feasibility discussions.\nCommunicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, risks, and delivery progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nProactively manage expectations, resolve ambiguities, and ensure alignment between customer needs and engineering execution.\n\nTeam Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration: \nLead and mentor a team of 2-5 engineers, providing technical direction, code reviews, and hands-on guidance.\nBreak down requirements into milestones, delegate work effectively, and maintain delivery quality and predictability.\nCollaborate with other engineering teams on APIs, integrations, shared services, and architectural dependencies.\nCoordinate across teams to resolve blockers, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth end-to-end delivery.\nFoster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\n\nAI, LLMs, and Agentic Development: \nLeverage AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to accelerate development, testing, debugging, and code review.\nDesign and implement LLM-powered features, integrating commercial or open-source language models into applications.\nUnderstand practical patterns for tool calling, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-step agent workflows.\nApply appropriate evaluation, security, observability, and human-in-the-loop safeguards to AI-powered features.\nIdentify opportunities to use AI to improve both the product experience and engineering productivity.\n\nRequirements: \n5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a tech lead or equivalent technical/product leadership role.\nProven experience leading a team of engineers and delivering production software.\nStrong hands-on experience with Flutter and mobile application development, backed by a solid understanding of native Android and iOS development.\nStrong backend engineering experience with Python, FastAPI, Postgres, and AWS.\nPractical experience deploying and operating production workloads on AWS ECS and Fargate.\nStrong understanding of software architecture, API design, distributed systems fundamentals, and cloud-native application development.\nDemonstrated experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders, including requirements gathering, solution design, and delivery management.\nExperience collaborating with multiple engineering teams and managing technical dependencies.\nHands-on experience integrating LLMs into applications and using AI-assisted or agentic development tools in real engineering workflows.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.\n\nGood to Have: \nExperience taking a mobile product from initial design through production launch and subsequent iterations.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and production observability.\nExperience with PostgreSQL, Redis, event-driven systems, queues, and asynchronous processing.\nExperience with mobile app security, performance profiling, crash analytics, and release management.\nExperience designing AI agents that interact with APIs, external tools, or business workflows.\nExperience working in a customer-facing engineering, consulting, or product development
