You will help turn raw and rapidly changing threat information into dependable product behavior. That means writing production services, defining clear boundaries between components, handling failure deliberately, and making results understandable to operators and customers.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nYou will builds Python and Go services, APIs, and customer features using shared data capabilities delivered by Platform Engineering. You'll work with security researchers to implement production detections and expose the supporting evidence through customer workflows. You'll own defined capabilities from technical design through testing, release, and production support, including resolving implementation details and integration requirements.\nBuild and maintain Python and Go services and APIs for product features and detections.\nDesign features around shared identities, evidence, relationships, and history. Reuse existing data capabilities and resolve interface requirements with Platform Engineering.\nTurn researcher-developed detection methods into tested production services with defined inputs, outputs, and evaluation criteria.\nBuild APIs that expose threat evidence and support customer investigation workflows, working with Product and frontend engineers.\nImplement reliable reevaluation and customer updates when underlying evidence or intelligence changes.\nTest failure handling, detection regressions, and authorization boundaries.\nDesign for safe retries, idempotency, and predictable behavior in asynchronous and event-driven workflows.\nEnforce tenant isolation and access controls; preserve evidence and source context for results.\nAdd observability, investigate production issues, and improve reliability and performance as usage grows.\nContribute designs, code reviews, estimates, and documentation; identify unclear requirements and dependencies.\nVerify AI-generated code before incorporating it into production software.\nYou’ll be a great fit if\nExperience building SaaS products and/or product features on shared data platforms.\nExperience building, shipping, and supporting backend software in production.\nStrong proficiency in Python or Go, with willingness to develop proficiency in the other language.\nExperience designing or implementing APIs and integrating services with databases and external or internal systems.\nUnderstanding of asynchronous processing, distributed system failure modes, and practical reliability patterns.\nAbility to write maintainable code and automated tests, review others’ work, and debug production behavior.\nAn understanding of secure software development, authorization, and protecting customer data.\nAbility to translate product requirements into service designs and implementations, working with domain specialists to resolve unclear requirements.\nUnderstanding of how data quality, freshness, relationships, and access permissions affect feature behavior and customer results.\nAbility to document decisions and coordinate assigned work in a remote team.\nWillingness to learn AI-assisted development practices and critically evaluate generated code.\nYou do not need every item below, but relevant experience may help you have an immediate impact:\nProduction experience with both Python and Go.\nExperience with cybersecurity products, threat intelligence, or detection engineering.\nExperience with Azure, event-driven architectures, or multitenant applications.\nExperience building customer features on a data platform, including consuming shared APIs, data models, graph services, or analytical services.\nExperience working with researchers or integrating ML outputs into production workflows.\nPractical experience using AI development tools alongside automated testing and code review.\nOur environment\nOur Azure-based environment includes Go and Python services, Event Hubs and Kafka-compatible messaging, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Explorer, PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Redis, Databricks for appropriate analytics and machine-learning workloads, Kubernetes, and Azure-managed compute services.\nExperience with every component is not required.
