The selected candidate will be responsible for acquiring the operational skills associated with either the process or packing department as well as gaining advanced E&I expertise. The successful candidate will have consistently demonstrated logic trouble shooting, a desire to develop advanced skills and the ability to communicate and work well with all plant employees. All work must be performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.\nPlant E&I- Cincinnati\nREPORTS TO\nPacking, Supervisor\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nTechnical Aptitude\nPerform E&I activities in a high-performance working environment on a shiftly basis to ensure optimum utilization of materials and manpower to maximize production, safety, quality, and efficiency\nParticipate in root cause failure analysis with team members and maintenance leaders for major downtime\nStrong computer skills (JDE, Excel)\nWorks accurately with numbers (inputting correct data etc.)\nProven troubleshooting skills using “Why-Why” tool\nDemonstrated technical skills (i.e. completion of routine maintenance, AM team defect fixes)\nAccurately troubleshoot, coach, and teach operators in our processing and packaging facility\nCommunication Skills\nDemonstrated ability to articulate thoughts and ideas, verbally and written.\nCommunicates and works with other operators, line leaders and the technical leader on E&I issues.\nParticipate in training to improve and maintain technical skills, teamwork, creativity, and communication skills\nLeadership Skills\nDemonstrated leadership via functional leadership or other forms of leadership\nActively participates on an AM, PM or Problem Solving/FI team when assigned\nAbility to own self training and qualifications as needed\nThinking/Problem-Solving\nConsistently tracks record of troubleshooting to root cause, and works to completion, taking the lead in the effort\nLeads win-win problem solving within B&G or between B&G and outside contractors, vendors, suppliers\nAbility to work to resolve issues on the team or in the department\nInitiative and follow-through\nAbility to recognize a problem and recommend a solution\nExamples of being self-directed and motivated\nDemonstrated ability to meet commitments, deadlines, deliver on results\nPriority setting\nStrong time management skills and ability to prioritize Working effectively with others\nworks effectively with others at all levels of the organization\nActively participate in team and plant meetings and activities\n QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma plus two years of technical training preferred\n2-5 years electrical/instrumentation experience preferred\nExcellent technical and troubleshooting skills and knowledge of all crafts, including mechanical, electrical and technical\nMust pass the math test and electrical aptitude test \nMust be willing to flex schedule when need to facilitate training in a timely manner\nLeadership skills including: \nConflict resolution and problem solving (analytical troubleshooting processes)\nCommunication (effective listening, giving and receiving feedback)\nOrganization and time management\nGoal and priority setting\nContinuous improvement\nSafety mindset\nAbility to interact cross-functionally and work in a team environment\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION\nMust be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift\nMust be willing to work additional overtime as required\nSuccessfully qualify on operational skills and function as an operator when needed\nMust adhere to the plant’s attendance policy\nPerform the necessary physical activity for purposes of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment including:\nClimbing stairs and ladders, standing on, and moving around on platforms, equipment, and concrete floors, working at elevated levels\nLift objects up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques\nStand and walk at minimum 70% of the time\nEqual Employment Opportunity:\nB&G Foods is an equal opportunity/affirmativeaction employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
