Overtime as required on Saturday and/or Sunday. Daily shift overtime required as needed.\nHourly Rate: $22.93/hour plus $0.55/hour shift differential.\nTo accurately select products, efficiently assemble, prepare for shipment, and verify the accuracy of orders that are shipped to customers and pool distribution points. Continuously update inventory as the product is picked.\nPrimary Job Responsibilities:\nPick a finished product from storage racks for customer orders accurately, efficiently, and with due concern for product quality and condition.\n\nWork safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by reading and following Company and OSHA safety regulations.\n\nPerform various functions within the pick module.\n\nSend orders down the conveyor to be wrapped.\n\nWatch for and remove jams on the conveyor.\n\nPrepare orders for shipment by palletizing and wrapping or boxing products, prints, and attaching labels on completed orders.\n\nPlace packing slip prebills, and other required documentation on order when needed.\n\nOperate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk to personnel and damage to inventory and equipment.\n\nCharge and change batteries.\n\nPerform correct, accurate, and timely inventory and or product transactions to reflect material movement and inventory status using a computer and or RF device.\n\nKeep the work area clean and remove waste and products from the floor and locations.\n\nRemoves shrink-wrap and cardboard from pallets in pick locations before picking.\n\nPlace materials in proper locations.\n\nAssist with the training of current and new Order Pickers, as directed.\n\nBuild and assemble pre-packs and pallet displays according to instructions.\n\nPerform case counts on completed customer orders, as directed.\n\nAssist supervisor with inventory functions, when directed.\n\nReport inventory discrepancies to the supervisor or auditor immediately.\n\nPlace damaged and partial cases of product in a designated location to be recouped.\n\nComplete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Abilities:\nSkill in operating material-moving equipment safely and conscientiously.\n\nPerforms basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).\n\nAbility to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.\n\nAbility to work as a productive member of a team.\n\nAbility to work at a rapid pace for continuous periods.\n\nAbility to organize and work on multiple tasks concurrently.\n\nAbility to deal effectively with persons representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view.\n\nCommunicates effectively with plant personnel courteously and cooperatively.\n\nMust possess basic computer keyboarding skills.\n\nDemonstrates efficient order picking skills regularly.\n\nDisplays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment toward completing work tasks efficiently and safely.\n\nDemonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail.\n\nResponds appropriately to supervision.\n\nAligns behavior with the needs, priorities, and goals of the department and company.\n\nMaintain good attendance and punctuality.\n\nActively participates in resolving order picking issues or problems.\n\nEmployees are expected to work at other work centers where job qualifications allow.\n\nDemonstrates a commitment to high-quality standards of workmanship.\n\nEducation and Training:\nPossess a high school diploma or GED.\n\nOnsite training specific to job responsibilities.\n\nMust obtain forklift and Order Picker certification.\n\nPass an Order Picker Qualification Checklist (deadline to be established by the company.)\n\nProtective Clothing and Devices:\nMany of the job duties of this position require you to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), if so, when and how to use this equipment will be explained to you at the time of hire.\nTo determine the ability to perform job functions where the use of a respirator is required, employees will be given a physical examination before performing this type of work.\nSQF\nResponsible for reporting any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.\nResponsible for following cGMP’s\nResponsible for maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping\nFollow all appropriate cleaning procedures\nEnsure pallets are clean and in good repair\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements:\nThis position is in a manufacturing plant environment, works around moving mechanical parts, works around motorized vehicles, and may be exposed to varying temperatures.\nMust be able to lift to 50lbs\nMay be required to work at heights up to 30ft off the ground\nPhysical Requirements:\nHearing, speaking: Continuously.
