This person plays a key role in managing supply partners, supply, cost, and risk for food ingredients, spices, and commodities that support the B&G Foods manufacturing network. A successful Procurement Manager will build and manage a strong and dynamic portfolio and will play a critical role in the company’s ability to deliver safe, quality, and cost-effective products.\nResponsibilities:\nNegotiate, manage, and execute supply contracts.\nDevelop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories that incorporate food safety, customer requirements, product requirements, market conditions, business risk, and supplier capabilities.\nManage and forecast costs, purchase price variance, and inventory.\nMonitor and improve supplier performance.\nAssist the Product Development team with the sourcing of new products.\nCollect, evaluate, and report crop conditions, commodity movement, market information, and logistical trends.\nCollaborate and communicate with management and cross-functional teams to understand/align on business objectives, risk management, costing, and pricing actions.\nSupport sales and marketing with data to implement costing actions.\nServe as the subject matter expert and advisor on assigned categories.\nParticipate in developing annual budgets for assigned categories. \nManage and resolve issues within the supplier network.\nWorks with cross functional teams to drive cost savings.\nAbility to manage savings across multiple platforms. Executes and drives savings projects more than $1MM.\nUnderstands supply, demand, and stock levels for assigned products.\nExperience, Skills, Education:\nBachelor's degree (BA/BS) in business-related discipline (i.e. business, economics, finance, accounting, supply chain required\nA minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement, supply chain, and process improvement with a solid foundation in commodity, supplier, and risk management required. \nPrevious raw materials procurement highly preferred.\nExcellent communication, written, and presentation skills.\nStrong understanding of financial modeling.\nExcellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.\nExperience with an ERP system. Systems proficiency with JD Edwards is desired.\nCompensation:\nHiring Pay Range:\n$101,897.00 - $135,863.00Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.
