Weekend and daily overtime as required.\nRate of pay: $23.08/hr plus $0.55/hr shift differential\nPrimary Job Responsibilities:\nOperate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk to personnel and damage to inventory and equipment.\nUse equipment to move materials within the plant.\nReplenish pick slots.\nDemonstrate safe work practices to prevent on-the-job injuries by following all company and OSHA safety regulations.\nLoad finished product and custom orders onto trailers in the correct sequence and according to loading requirements, while ensuring an accurate piece count.\nOperate a wrapping machine to wrap finished orders.\nAdhere to lockout-tagout procedures.\nPlace proper documentation on pallets.\nRead the truck schedule and follow instructions to determine which materials or trucks to be moved.\nPerform tasks as directed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS).\nWork as a member of the warehouse team by communicating information to coworkers on time to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.\nPerform daily inspection checks on forklifts.\nComplete accurate inventory transactions promptly, to reflect material movement and inventory status.\nOperate dock plates and dock locks following company procedures.\nMaintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the warehouse, daily.\nIdentify problems with equipment, product quality, conveyor system, etc., and take corrective action.\nUse care when loading and stacking pallets on trailers to ensure that the product arrives at the customer damage-free.\nUse dunnage bags, load bars, and load straps, as needed.\nComplete HACCP outbound trailer inspection and report any deficiencies to the supervisor immediately.\nTurn completed paperwork in daily.\nAssist in the training of new Warehouse Workers and ongoing training of current employees, as requested.\nAssist in recouping damaged finished products and transport damaged products to recoup pallets.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSkills, Knowledge and Abilities:\nSkill in operating material moving equipment safely and conscientiously.\nPerforms basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide). \nAbility to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.\nAbility to work as a productive member of a team.\nAbility to work at a rapid pace for continuous periods.\nAbility to organize and work on multiple tasks concurrently.\nAbility to deal effectively with persons representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view.\nCommunicates effectively with plant personnel courteously and cooperatively.\nDemonstrates efficient material handling skills regularly.\nDisplays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment toward completing work tasks efficiently and safely. \nDemonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail. \nResponds appropriately to supervision.\nAligns behavior with the needs, priorities, and goals of the department and company.\nMaintain good attendance and punctuality.\nActively participates in resolving issues or problems related to warehouse operations.\nDemonstrates a commitment to high-quality standards of workmanship.\nMust become familiar with plant layout for efficient material movement.\nPossess a high school diploma or GED.\nMust learn how to operate the Warehouse Management System\nCandidate must complete a Qualification Checklist\nOnsite training specific to job responsibilities.\nMust possess or obtain forklift certification.\nProtective Clothing and Devices:\nMany of the job duties of this position require you to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), if so, when and how to use this equipment will be explained to you at the time of hire.\nTo determine the ability to perform job functions where the use of a respirator is required, employees will be given a physical examination before performing this type of work.\nSQF\nResponsible for reporting any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.\nResponsible for following cGMP’s\nResponsible for maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping\nEnsure trailers are lean and in good repair for food transportation\nFollow all appropriate cleaning procedures\nEnsure pallets are clean and in good repair\nWork Environment:\nThis position is in a manufacturing plant environment, works around moving mechanical parts, works around motorized vehicles and may be exposed to varying temperatures.\nMust be able to lift up to 50lbs\nMay be required to work at heights up to 30ft off the ground\nMajority of time spent operating a motorized vehicle\nPhysical Requirements:\nHearing, speaking: Continuously.
