You will oversee a team of writers, ensuring the highest standards of medical accuracy, creativity, and compliance with regulatory guidelines. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will help drive brand messaging, maintain consistency, and mentor junior and mid-level writers. This role requires both hands-on writing expertise and strong leadership skills. \nRole Requirements: \nLead the development of scientific and promotional content, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and compliance requirements. \nOversee and mentor copywriters, providing guidance, feedback, and career development support. \nPartner with creative, medical, and account teams to develop compelling, high-quality content across multiple channels (digital, print, video, social, etc.). \nReview and edit content for scientific accuracy, clarity, engagement, and adherence to brand voice. \nStay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and competitive landscape to inform strategic content development. \nPresent content to internal teams and clients, articulating rationale and addressing feedback. \nManage workload and workflow to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.\nCollaborate with medical and regulatory teams to navigate approval processes efficiently. \nPreferred Qualifications \nBachelor’s or advanced degree in Life Sciences, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. \n6+ years of experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical copywriting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. \nStrong understanding of medical and scientific concepts, as well as experience translating complex information into compelling content. \nFamiliarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, OPDP, medical/legal review processes). \nExceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. \nAbility to multitask, manage multiple projects, and work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment. \nExperience working across a variety of therapeutic areas is preferred. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content management and collaboration tools. \nSalary Range: $125,000 - $150,000\nBGB Group is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location.
