Further information is available at www.bgis.com\nSUMMARY\nThe Accounting/Reporting Assistant reports to the Accounting/Reporting Manager and provides support in all areas of financial management including accounts payable, audits, accounts receivable, general accounting, controlling, tracking and reporting of expenses. This job also provides support to the other staff in the areas of accounting and financial reporting\nKey Duties & Responsibilities\nReviews and approves project budgets and client work authorizations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion\nWeekly timesheet review and preparation of detailed timesheet reports to ensure accuracy and data integrity\nPrepares and maintains accurate and complete records for audits\nMonthly billing upload, verification/validation, invoice preparation and transmission\nPreparation of monthly and ad hoc journal entries\nMonthly trial balance and cost/revenue checks\nProject close analysis and reconciliation\nMonthly financial statements and reconciliations (balance sheet, profit and loss, etc.)\nProvide additional support to ARMs/operations team for data entry and ad hoc requests\nOther tasks and duties, as required\nKnowledge & Skills\n1-3 years job related experience or experience in an A/P or A/R job\nUndergraduate university degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration\nHigh-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel\nExceptional attention to detail\nBilingual, fluent written and spoken communication skills\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills\nExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills\nAdept at data analysis and interpretation\nLicenses and/or Professional Accreditation\nCPA candidate would be desirable\nBENEFITS: Remote work, Virtual Health Consultations, Wellness resources, Tuition reimbursement program, Health and Dental insurance, RRSP contributions, etc.\nThis is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $44,303 - $52,121 per annum.
