The Construction Project Manager sets the example for others positively exemplifying BGIS values.\nLocation: This Construction Project Manager position is intended to be a remote position with the candidate residing in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania or New York (Upstate).\nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nProject Management\nIdentify required resources to achieve project/program goals.\nFunction as primary point of contact for team members and leaders during project/program implementation. \nCommunicates with key stakeholders both externally and internally. \nSupport and provide input to development strategies, goals, and objectives specific to project/program execution at each phase. \nDevelop and manage project/program plans, schedules, and scopes of work.\nDefine project/program responsibilities to project management, subject matter experts, and team members.\nAssess site safety and implement actions to prevent injury to property and people. \nEnsure safety compliance of subcontractors and all individuals on site. \nContribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.\nProject/Program Controls\nTake financial responsibility for project including accurate, timely and relevant reporting to stakeholders. \nFacilitate invoice payments from clients and to subcontractors. \nReview and approve subcontractor billing. \nPrepare client and subcontractor change orders. \nMonitor, control, and report on financial performance of projects. \nPrepare or supervise preparation of submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, expediting reports, change order log, RFI log, correspondence log and other key communications. \nAsses any potential job cost impacts, submit, negotiate and track all change order requests. \nReview contracts, drawings, specifications, and other resources to answer questions in a timely manner. \nVerify all material and equipment is purchased in a timely and cost-effective manner. \nKnowledge & Skills\nBachelor’s Degree preferred in Construction Management or Engineering, or other relevant studies and/or equivalent work experience will be considered.\n3-5 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction. \nExperience working for a general contractor in the commercial construction field highly preferred.\nStrong understanding of drawings, specifications, contracts and critical path scheduling.\nCreate and maintain authentic effective client relationships at a site and program level.\nBasic estimating skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to focus diverse group of stakeholders including external clients and internal expertise on a specified project and projected out comes. \nTime Management skills to balance competing priorities. \nCompleted OSHA 30 class preferred.\nProficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project. \nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. \nPMP, PgMP, CPM, PE, LEED professional designations are preferred.\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nThe following would be a plus for the position:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
