The team is dedicated to inspiring better business performance and helping clients focus on their core businesses.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Critical Facility Engineer is responsible for maintaining important mechanical, electrical and control systems in a critical environment facility. Key job activities include delivering timely and quality client service while providing a sustainable approach to data center systems maintenance. The Critical Facility Engineer demonstrates BGIS values daily in communication with the client and other team members.\nKey Duties & Responsibilities:\nClient Service Focus\nMaintain a positive and professional working relationship with internal and external clients. \nComplete client service requests in a timely manner. \nRespond to emergency calls. \nContribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.\nMaintain Data Center Systems\nPerform maintenance to ensure the highest level of efficiency without disruption to the business. \nComplete routine maintenance tasks in accordance with BGIS Safety Policy and Procedures.\nInspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions. \nTroubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend system upgrades.\nOrder parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs. \nRequest proposals for outsourced work. \nMonitor vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets BGIS and client standards. \nAccurate and timely completion of work order requests. \nEscalate issues to Critical Environment Facility Manager as needed. \nQualifications:\nControls, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. \nFamiliarity with PLC controls and industrial automation systems. \nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively. \nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. \nExcellent communication and documentation skills. \nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site response. \nKnowledge & Skills:\nAbility and willingness to travel.\nProvide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nTwo years’ experience in similar working environment with HVAC or Electrical knowledge helpful. \nOne-year experience in specific Critical Environments position. \nWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems and equipment typically used in critical environments. \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with client service focus to maintain professional relationships.\nAbility to work both individually and contribute positively to teamwork. \nCritical facility procedure use and development.\nTime Management focus to prioritize and complete work in a timely basis. \nKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook preferred. SharePoint and Power BI experience is a plus.\nNavigation, operating experience and understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Building Automations Systems, Emergency Power Monitoring Systems and Fire Alarm Systems.\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
