Our work across aviation, government, healthcare, and utilities has been recognised through industry accolades, including being an FMA Industry Award for Excellence 2025 Finalist and an RICS 2025 Property / Facilities Management Team of the Year Nominee, reflecting our strong focus on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nPurpose of the Role\nBGIS is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of a high-profile aviation facilities portfolio based in the Melbourne Airport precinct.\nReporting to the Regional Services Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring smooth service delivery across site operations, supporting financial performance, and maintaining strong and positive relationships across a wide range of stakeholders including client representatives, subcontractors, vendors and onsite teams.\nThis opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys structured environments, values clear communication, and takes pride in maintaining safe, reliable and well-coordinated facilities services. You will be part of a supportive team environment with strong collaboration across the broader contract.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate the day-to-day delivery of facilities services across the airport precinct.\nEnsure contractual KPI’s and service delivery obligations are met consistently.\nSupport financial performance including budgeting, forecasting and cost control activities.\nMaintain strong working relationships with client representatives, contractors and internal teams.\nReview and manage reactive and planned maintenance works, ensuring accurate cost recovery.\nSupport subcontractor management, compliance and performance monitoring.\nAssist in identifying risks and opportunities within the contract environment.\nContribute to monthly reporting, performance updates and operational reviews.\nEnsure compliance with WHS&E, QA and environmental requirements.\nParticipate in a shared after-hours on-call roster.\nEducation, Experience & Skills\nEssential\nExperience in Facilities Management, Property, or integrated service delivery environments.\nStrong understanding of contract delivery, maintenance operations and service coordination.\nExperience working within aviation, transport or other complex operational environments.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to engage across diverse stakeholder groups.\nFinancial awareness including budgeting, cost tracking and reporting.\nExperience using CMMS systems (or similar platforms).\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to work collaboratively within structured operational environments.\nDesirable\nFormal qualifications in Facilities Management, Property, Business or related discipline.\nExperience in airport, aviation or high-security environments.\nKnowledge of subcontractor management and procurement processes.\nExposure to continuous improvement or service optimisation initiatives.\nWorkplace Flexibility\nThis role
