Will receive & action work orders within the allotted time frame.\nThe facility mechanic/electrician positionmanages diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility equipment and building according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.\nAt this position level:\nThe facility mechanic/electrician position will work on door type work as well as maintain the building and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on building issues and support mechanicalelectrical equipment and systems as needed.\nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerforms work in accordance to established processes and response & rectification guidelines\nComplies with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection\nPerforms regular inspection, preventative and corrective measure to ensure facility uptime objectives are met, uninterrupted client operation and asset integrity of assigned facility are maintained.\nProvides observations about facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides suggestions for enhancement and repair.\nMonitors assigned facility by conducting facility walkthroughs, mechanical and electrical equipment and system monitoring and inspection\nResponds to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective measures on facility building fabric and mechanical and electrical equipment and systems\nRecords resolution data within service facility management database.\nEnsures work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements\nReceives, tracks, monitors and reports status of facility and repair work within service Facility Management Database.\nInitiates documents to obtain formal approval of work required.\nWorks with subcontractors and perform preventative, repairs and calibration on mechanical/electrical equipment.\nRecommends spare parts and supply purchases for facility equipment\nAccurately maintains/completes all equipment logbooks and Facility records.\nAssists in the implementation of preventative Facility (PM) program.\nEnsures that deficiencies are identified, recorded and escalated, and that related documentations are maintained.\nParticipates in and assists with facility-related projects.\nEnsures the manner in which work is performed is in compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, fire protection and any other applicable requirements.\nMaintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required.\nAssists in enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through manner in which work is performed and services delivered.\nMust follow BBIS Health & Safety Policies\nOther duties as assigned.\nMust be able and willing to work flexible shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs as they arise.\n\nMust wear personal protective equipment\n\nMust use hand tools, lift/carry 50 lbs., and to work on ladders/step stools.\n\nRequires working extended periods on his/her feet in a fast-paced environment.\n\nMust maintain an excellent attendance record\n\nEthical/responsible\n\nWilling to perform other duties as requested/required by trade or knowledge base.\n\nMust be result driven and work with minimal supervision\n\nWork requirements:\nMINIMUM EDUCATION: High school completion plusbe a Red Seal Electrician\n\nJOB RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years of electrician experience. Working in facility maintenance and /or healthcare experience would be a strong asset.\nKnowledge & Skills\n\nRequires a good understanding of electricity by trade, general repairs of building fabric.Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in a large facilities.\nMust be able to read and interpret blue prints and schematics specific to his/her trade, where applicable\nMust have excellent communication skills (verbally, written).\nFamiliar with building automation systems (BAS) - Metasys knowledge is an asset\nMust have the ability to use hand tools, lift/carry 50 lbs., and to work on ladders/step stools.\nScheduled evening and weekend work & 12 hours shift work is required.\nWorking knowledge of computers and handheld devices\nPositive, professional disposition and ability to cooperate with co-workers and supervisors and to contribute productively to a project team.\nStrong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.\nTests, repairs, troubleshoot and calibrates HVAC/Refrigeration and building environmental controls ensuring equipment is functioning properly.\n\nQualifications:\n1.Red Seal Electrician License.\n2.GAS Technician 1, license.
